Yuzuru Hanyu: 2014-15 Season

Just imagine if Yuzuru were American and skated at US Nationals lol. His SP at Japan Nationals 2014 might get which score at US Nationals? What do you think? 103? :laugh2:

He probably would have 50 for PCS

Anyway, I know I'm late but I'm glad to know Yuzuru's recuperating at home now. Hope he takes it easy and only starts training when he feels his ready. Actually no, he might feel he's ready even though his body says no :bang:

If Yuzuru was American, that would be hilarious (and a lot of things would change). I can't even imagine how different everything would've been. Anyway, about the scoring, I'm glad that at Japanese Nationals this year they weren't lenient about the scores given. With that, Yuzuru will probably get similar scores at Worlds if he skates at the same standard.

Edit: Miki Ando just posted info about Yuzu being discharged from the hospital: http://instagram.com/p/yOXnTol_Fo/

Also saw on twitter that a member of the band Pandalion(who was in TOI this past summer) said he got a text/e-mail from Hanyu-san saying "I'm out of the hospital". Sorry I don't have the time to find the link now but I know some of you probably saw it and can link it and translate it better than I do. :)

Makes me wonder how many people he texted/e-mailed? I guess even though he is out of the hospital he is still just recuperating at home and being bored so he started down his contact list...

Poor guy must be so bored by now after almost a whole month of not being able to do anything haha

I wonder when will he go back to Toronto and practice? If he rest for too long he might lose all of his muscles and have to rework harder again.

Or answer fans' mails and send them thank you letters

I bet he'll have another hard training like the one before Barcelona

Worlds is in Shanghai, would the travel to Toronto and back to Shanghai will impact him in view of his health?
There are still nearly two months before worlds so no he has all the time to get back in shape and it would be quite foolish for him to train alone for such a long time:)

Or studying for exams -- it's finals period over here and even though he's doing the online program I'm sure he has plenty to work on!

Oh boy, still recovering and having to do test :P...

I think that if he can, he should go back to Canada to train, so that people there can watch if he is not iver doing it, when he trains in Japan he does it on his won.

I too would like to know how many people did he text

More speed sketching... this time, his Chopin costume which looks great in motion. Also, Yuzu bows a lot, and very nicely too.

Thanks for sharing. I like it!

Now that Tatsuki has retired, I think Yuzuru is the class of the men's field in terms of bowing. ;) I especially liked Yuzuru's bows after his Chopin performance at the GPF in Barcelona with the "footwork."

I agree with you that the Chopin costume looks great in motion. The costume and the program itself highlight the lightness and flow that make Yuzuru's skating so special.

I gather that in Yuzuru's POTO program he is aiming for gravitas. At the GPF there were moments in his LP program that I remembered thinking that Yuzuru has matured a lot so that this is now a man, no longer a boy, skating. Perhaps the crash has contributed to this as he had to overcome a lot of adversity (suffering) to be able to skate that program in thefirst place.

Anyway, I hope, as Shae-Lynn puts it in her TSL interview, she will "get her hands on him" soon so we will get to see the full artistic flowering of that program in Worlds.

Many thanks to those who posted links, translations, and updates. Welcome too to the new posters! :)
