Well, Radionova can set the mark for Liza and then Liza will know what she has to do.

I loved Liza's 3 axel, but agree with whoever it was that said her choreography is a little cheesy.
She sacrifices like 5-8 seconds of choreography. Fine, it's telegraphed, but that was reflected in the +1s. The runout was great, the rotation was there, and it's a freaking triple axel.
I love how Liza does the first 3A in ages by any skater other than Mao and people are quick to say "telegraphed"/"not ideal landing", etc. Geez people, what Liza did was a huge achievement... first woman to do a 3A and a 3-3 in an SP (as far as I know, Mao never achieved this).
Also, think about where Liza's has been coming from. She wasn't even expected to make it beyond Russian Nationals, and sooooo many people had her off their radar... and now she not only comes into Worlds as a favourite after winning so many competitions (including the GPF), she adds a triple axel in her SP and nails it. The haterade is stroooooong with some of you people.![]()
She has a point though, while landing 3A is impressive but she sacrifice choreography for it. You can telegraph jump but design to make it match with overall program such as how Kostner did with the Luzt in her Bolero program.

The first woman to land four triples in the short program. One of six to land triple axel in international competition. And she paired it up with energy on the footwork, a triple-triple in the second half, and the hardest non-axel triple. Figure skating is indeed an art, but the sport aspect can be just as exciting.
She never had problems with Lutz.
You know that you don't have to be so dramatic right? I just share my opinion on the choreography, don't intend to downplay Liza's achievement at all.
To be honest Voronov or Jason are telegraphing way longer their 3A than Liza didSorry, I wasn't aware. There's a bit of hate towards Liza's 3A attempt I'd read up until reading your post, and so your post kinda made me fed up without realizing you were simply saying it was telegraphed (which it was).

that should have been the top 3.:scowl:
And it was reflected in the GOE for the 3A. I don't know what the complaining is about.First woman who lands 4 triples in a programs, with top quality, so what if she telegraphed it a bit? This is HISTORY!!! Go LIZA!!
Hey now, play nice... don't trivialize Mao's 3A attempts the way chairmanmao is attempting to trivialize Liza's 3A.

Weird protocol observations: Seems like the judges were super GOE-happy (Liza's spins, Elena and Satoko's jumps) but very stingy on PCS. Elena didn't even receive a SB for skating clean at Worlds, while that usually happens. Few people broke 30. As for Amano and the tech panel--well, I guess he isn't a harsh TS at all. Just... did Mao spit in his cereal in the past?Lots of ! rather than e, almost all the top contenders received Level 4s for their steps when they've been getting Level 3s elsewhere. I would've given Ashley her 3F since it wasn't exactly over 1/4, but hardly harsh overall.
Liza's skate was a piece of history.![]()
