Skaters on Team Japan

Thanks a lot for the translation, yude and Newbiespectator. :)

As for Takahito, ever since I saw him crying like a boy after his free skate in Shanghai Worlds and his parents(=coaches) soothing their son, I am wondering if he could leave his parents. Don't get me wrong. He indeed had 2 great seasons so far, very impressive his skating skills have improved a lot in the last couple of years especially since he started working with Tom Dickson, and I do admire he still wants to improve all aspects of his skating at his age. But I think he has a bit too sweet personality in order to compete at the very top level. Maybe one year of working with more demanding coach a la Carroll, Tarasova or Morosov would be a good choice to make for him to go through the roof/become a world podium contender. Working part time with such coach would be fine, too, because he has his own family now like Nobu.

@skatefan22
I've searched it for you but no success... sorry. Someone would uploaded it soon, hopefully!

Yuna Aoki and Yuzu!

After the WTT, Yuzu and Mura met Aoki back stage. He said 'do you remember me?' and Aoki said 'yes'.
Yuzu said 'She's better at the Lutz-Toe than I am'.

In 2011, when the Sendai rink closed due to the earthquake, Yuzu went to train with Aoki's coach and during that time gave Aoki a bit of advice about jumps. The coach says they have a lot in common.

She has a rare 3Lz-3Lo combination and goes to the rink in the morning at 4:00 am and again when school finishes.

These figure skaters work so hard!

He was also Yuzu's coach until he was a novice, which is why he offered his rink for yuzu to use after the earthquake.:)

Wow that's a very hard schedule! She goes to bed at 10:00 and wakes up at 2:00! Don't mean to sound so "mom-like" but I think kids need sleep :) Although many skaters probably just have as hard a schedule as she does.

She looks very endearing (those dimples!), and with her and Wakaba, Japanese ladies are certainly looking great.

According to my friend's translation, here are some interesting facts: Kana has a sister who is 6 years older than her. She has been to the ice rink very often when she was still in baby cart because her sister practiced skating. When she grew up a bit and began learning skating, in contrast to others who were training very hard on ice, she just liked to sit on the ice building snowman and excitedly yelled out aloud.
She ate some local fish before her competition at Jr. Worlds and got serious stomach pain there. She was in pain during the whole practice and competition but managed to win gold. Kenji asked her if Yuzu ate that fish as well, she said he didn't (smart Yuzu!).

He says he's hopped on Dice's 4F boat, so to speak.
I like the way the Japanese guys push each other and give each other quad advice. Makes the whole team strong.
I don't need new quads from them, I hope they're healthy. Gezzz the trend...

That was great, thank you for sharing. I love Kanako's new haircut!

Daisuke Murakami's 4F: https://instagram.com/p/2sVZvem7Sv/
look good! :)

What's with these boys... :) Takahito Mura also doing 4F: https://instagram.com/p/2szem5DAcv/

and trying the 4Lz: https://instagram.com/p/2szjkDjAc5/
 Murakami's flip looks the closest (which surprises me a little, since I tend to think of Mura as the stronger quad jumper). Hopefully it'll give him a confidence boost. "Hey if I can land 4F, surely I can do 4S-3T"?
