The description of the TV show says it is about his old coach and the training videos are old training videos. Probably nothing recent.
Thank you

?Yuzu will be doing his skater whole program including the quads by the rink side![]()

Fortunately he dealt with this well lolIt's so nice seeing how his English has improved thoughout the years. But I wonder, does he take actual English classes or he just gets better from what he hears when he's in Canada?

Hi guys, it looks like I'm still alive !! Thank you all for the warm support
I LOVE listening to Yuzu speaking english first because I understand (lol!) and because he's soooooo cute. Thanks aliajackson for sharing the compilation ! I love when he says "I'm happy , but I have to do more practice... And I will be more happy!", watching all the interviews, it seems like it's his favourite word
And I remember seeing the interview with french tv I was like... "You stupid thing! Why don't you translate later ? You're gonna lose him! Silly journalist!"Fortunately he dealt with this well lol
Welcome back! I hope everything went well!^^Hi guys, it looks like I'm still alive !! Thank you all for the warm support

I totally agree. I've been a year aboard for my studies, and it helped me a lot. It helped Yuzu too. Beside, even if Yuzuru is still struggling at speaking, he shows he doesn't have trouble understanding journalists speaking English. Beside, Shoma said that Yuzuru helped him at GPF because he doesn't understand English. That shows he tries as much as he can.How cuter can he get when he speaks English?
I think both: he must take online classes and I remember hearing in an interview that he was practicing English via an app on his phone (well I still don't know whether he has a phone of his own or not but that's what it said).
But the best way to learn a language is definitely to be in the country where you speak and hear it on a daily basis.
Welcome back! I hope everything went well!^^
Haha, well, you know Nelson: he has always been like that. Yuzuru is probably used to foreign journalists like him, who prefer to translate live. Still, he's patient enough. Nelson is not a bad guy but can be quite a headache at times, lol!

Well, I still speak English with a French accent, and I don't like talking English over the phone. In my past work, I even had to speak English on phone with none-English natives who had terrible accents. So I know how it feels, lol!I've lived 5 years in the UK, and at the end of those five years, I still hated having to speak English on the phone (because I'm one of these people who lip read a lot). I can only imagine having to answer unprepared TV interview questions, and I'm quite sure, that even today I'd still manage to speak more Frenglish than anything else . ("Sorry Nelson, can you repeat the question... yes, a 12th time)
Also, Japanese is so far removed from any European language, it's a lot harder not only to learn English, but to add the difficulty for all the sounds that don't even exist in Japanese (because IMO, that's one of the super good point of Japanese : it only has very easy sounds to pronounce.)
Totally agree on the fact that he seems to understand very well. Speaking is always the hardest part with foreign languages![]()

That interview was very funny to watch lolHis English understanding is really something. Even when the journalists are not native English speakers and have an accent he gets their questions just fine![]()
Thats probably because he's been communicating a lot with javi? javi has a strong accent too....

Yeah that could be a factor, the TCC has skaters from all over the world (Spain, Korea, Kazahkstan, etc) and they all have different accents, so he may already be used to deal with all sorts of pronunciation![]()
. If I were in his shoes, I would definitely go into panic mode!
Someone has made a decent video about how to identify the jumps: https://youtu.be/BBHa4KgJk3E
They use Yuzuru, Wagner and other skater jumps, but mostly Yuzuru.
That’s why he understood the Spanish ice dancer saying at that GPF 2014 interview. She seemed to have the strong accent, and in my memory, it was the first time he had an English interview in front of the audience (and it was on the air!). In addition, it was all of a sudden! But he could manage the difficult situation well. If I were in his shoes, I would definitely go into panic mode!
