I think it's still unclear at the moment. I guess we'll just have to wait and see...

matmuh, I have replied to you on Satoko's thread. I see your response already 
hamaguri, thanks for your concern. I had many of my favorites at DOI but I always end up watching Yuzuru anyway because he and Plushy are so easy to find. As for commanding the audience, he's good at that but at first we couldn't understand/see his hand gesture so we started to clap louder.
I read one of your comments many pages ago (I think/hope it was you:think and it was nice to find a Mansai fan here. I'm not a huge fan, but I do appreciate his presence on the stage (I haven't seen his kyogen, but I've seen him live a couple of times). I would love it if Yuzuru and Mansai could meet if they haven't already. Mansai has been performing on the stage since he was 3yo so I think they could have a lot in common.

Dice took about 3 or 4 pictures but this must have been the best one. At least 2 boys are missing from that photo :hopelessness:

Hi, everybody! I usually only read (thanks for lots on info, translations and photos ) but here my two cents about Yuzu new FS. At first I loooooooooooove the fact that he finally choose Japanese music for a competitive programme 
I like his EX with j-pop songs cuz its beautiful to watch him when he feels music. I also find Japanese history and traditions very interesting and very different from european so who can better show it on the ice then my favourite skater? I'm not concerned at all that general public will not understand the music choice. It's not african or let's say japanese drum (which not everybody can like), it's really a beautiful melody. Yuzu just should stay healthy to be able to sell this programme at 100% About the choreo I like what I saw in the news for now. The step sequense is great I think the powerful steps in the end is the most what I missed in his FS since Romeo 1.0

thanks for sharing your opinion, i am too (like other users also expressed) not worried about music not reaching auidiences from other cultures, as long as he feels the music and performs it people will enjoy his heart-felt performance (unless they have other personal issues with his skating
)

Well, according to the ISU Magazine, the GP assignments are decided/announced today, so I suppose we'll know very soon... Decided for sure, but not sure if we'll really know today. We'll see.

I've decided to keep my expectations nice and low for the showing of his program on the 21st. Bearing in mind that it's not finished and that he said he hasn't been able to 'show his best moves' within Shae Lynn's choreography yet.
But I'm still looking forward to it sooo much. :dance:

Does anybody know based on previous years whether will he be skating to the new FS now for remaining of the ice shows to get more feel of it and use it as practice etc. etc .?

ISU had a meeting on June 12-14, 2015 in Geneva, to select the participants for the Grand Prix and more issues. Today ISU made an announcement, the Scale of Values, Levels of Difficulty and Guidelines for marking Grade of Execution this season, but nothing else for the moment

In a group on Facebook we have a girl from Romania. She told us her mum also became a fan after watching Yuzuru at Sochi. She said her mum was heartbroken when Yuzuru lost at Shanghai.
On YouTube there were some comments and they were kind of upsetting about Yuzuru (like they thought Yuzuru as a winning machine or something). Her mum didn't understand their language but she used Google translate and she found out what they said, so she was angry and she spent a whole day arguing with those haters on YouTube. She said something like: "You guys don't deserve him. You guys are so heartless, look at the poor boy he has tried so hard. He is the bravest."
But the most hilarious is, she typed in... Romanian language lol. So no ones understand what she was arguing all alone.
To tell the truth, I am a fan of the short stories from the FB group that you brought it here. They were moving at the same time funny. Please keep doing that for me/us. :yes:

now this and the song became one of my most favorites.It’s a bit off topic but I see many Japanese people trying to sing it, some are so well at it that made me want to try at karaoke too.
For example.Btw, interesting fact that I happened to see Mansai Nomura’s stage a few months ago, I am not a huge fan but my friend just took me there where he performance as a Kyogen performer and that was my first time to experience Kyogen live.

Lots of stuff have changed in the judging guidelines. Apparently if there's a fall on 4T, 10.3-4(GOE)-1(deduction)=5.3

don't think it's only in men (but only men jump quads
), all the quads with fall get -4(GOE). More risk, more penalties 
Maybe some skaters will have more doubts about adding more quads in their programs, now it looks really dangerous

I guess this is to counter act the rule that if a jump is fully rotated but falls is in some case worth more that a popped jump.
I guess this is a hard year to introduce 3 quads to a program... Ganbatte Yuzu

We shall see how it plays out...but I'm still confident that Yuzu can land quads in competition and that even if he falls on one of them, his triples will still be solid.
