Yuzuru Hanyu: 2014-15 Season

Apparently Yuzuru's pretty popular in Spain?* Lol Japanese/Chinese fans were surprised, since they didn't know about this poll, yet he was leading by 20k+ votes
This link was shared on Instagram, so many people around the globe took part in that poll.;)

The green and purple used for Yuzuru's costume seem to be very classic Japanese colors to me. But, it is very unlikely the designer knew the meaning of colors when he or she chose them.
Thank you for the links, I actually looked through the first one myself earlier today. I thought the costume was made by a Japanese tailor so the colours must be meaningful (or not). I wish somebody ask Yuzuru about this detail- I am very curious when it comes to the colours in traditional clothes. I just watched the first movie and the half of the second one but I haven't seen Seimei wearing those shades of green. So those colours either a creative choice (green goes really well with purple) or they have a meaning behind them.

oh I remember that list, it was posted on Yuzuru's facebook group so the votes went up pretty fast plus you can vote 5 points so that's why it makes lots of points

Ive just watched the Junior Worlds 2015 now, and im watching Sota's FS with CBC commentary. The first 20 seconds Kurt says: "better hope Yuzuru Hanyu is watching cause he stuck into his closet and took one of his old costumes...and some of his old moves." :laugh2: oh is Sota's fanboy that clear that commentators make the connection :P

I read a twitter about how much Sota adores yuzu. At the last week DOI, she went into a restraint and found Sota there. She happened to have a yuzu’s red clear file(LOTTE campaign, http://livedoor.blogimg.jp/vitaminw/imgs/3/0/30287f63.jpg ) and tried to hand it to Sota. Then Sota said, “I’ve already got a lot of files!”

Sota must have bought tones of packages of gum or chocolate to get files!

gsyzf, you are probably right. It must take some serious math or I find the assignments for Javier and Denis total opposites than I thought they would be. This is how I imagine the GP-meeting went...

Chairman: Anyone representing Javier? No? No one? Seriously? Are the Spanish representatives still having lunch? Fine. Anyone representing Yuzuru?

Me: Just make sure Yuzuru makes it to the GPF!

How nice! to

And this is a video of "'Seimei' Hanyu Yuzuru watercolour speedpaint": https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WiXjW5ax080

It’s interesting to see the process! She drew his face more deliberately and carefully:). We are lucky to have tons of works of art about Yuzu! It’s no wander yuzu is stimulating curiosity for creation of talented people.

@shiroKJ, I love your avatar picture!

Is this already posted?
You can see quad battle at WTT 2015. Yuzu gently prompted Shoma to go (around 3:30-). Of course it was the first time for Shoma to do so in such a big competition and he hesitated. Yuzu encouraged him. After Shoma managed to have landed it, he clapped and admired him.

From TV program of “Kiritoru-TV”

And from the same program. Yuzu responded to the question with his interview.

Please don’t say that to me, you go so far ahead of me when it comes to English!

I have a lot of respect for 2nd language speakers of English on this forum. As a low-level speaker of Japanese as a 2nd language, I know how hard it can be. So I am impressed with the member of this thread who communicate together about our favourite skater using English! :cheer:

You have a point :agree:

The said combination is very Japanese, becaue it is the colors of Matcha Azuki Ice Cream, one of my delicacies

Sorry, totally off topic. I'm in lunch time now.

Guys, don't take my joke seriously please

Haha…
And thanks for several insightful posts about SEIMEI. The inspiration of Himekami was thrilling. On the weekend I will block off my time to study about Onmyoji with books or the movie. We can discuss SEIMEI from various points of view. But at least it is certain that it reflects his state of mind in some ways. Very interesting.

ahhh such a fan boy, i wonder if he asked Yuzu to sign them as well  thanks for sharing!
also thanks everyone for news and info (esp SuzyQ!!), can it be tomorrow soon so we can see new program, i am even more curious after reading Elizabet's comments :yay:

Now that I think about it, the last time Yuzuru did well in GPs was??? Or at least a perfect program at GPs. The only time I remember: SA 2012 SP (then bombed the LP), NHK 2012 LP (then also bombed the LP), TEB 2013 SP (failed 2 quads)....

I have learnt to set my expectation low for his GPs series.

COR 2011 wasn't that bad either and he won. Do you consider NHK 2012 as bombing? I mean he had a couple of mistakes but IIRC he landed the quads (his mistakes were in the spins and he flip?) and he got a respectable 165 points. Leaving home ice advantage aside (because Daisuke also had it), considering that he didn't have the reputation nor the scoring potential that he had now, it was a respectable score. SA was a complete bomb that's for sure, he had mistakes everywhere, I can't watch it anymore. :hopelessness:

Didn't he also have a a good SP then bombed the LP during his 2011 CoC or CoR? I can't remember which...or was it both? Lol

 Here are some new photo's of audiophile Yuzuru playing with his new Astell&Kern AK240 Gold + headphones. I can't access their blog though....:(

He said he loved the Gold, and that he really dislikes the color silver.... (silver=2nd place?)

Is he going to do Senior B in the coming season? I think his NHK performance will probably be better than his SC performance. I don't have high expectation for his performance at SC.

He hasn't said anything about doing a Senior B (that I've read) but I would assume he's planning on going to one.

He was consistent at COR, not spectacular but I think he did well (2nd on both segments). But you're right, in COC he was 2nd in the SP but dropped to 4th in the FS, that wasn't one of his best days :slink:
