This is my fav costume list. I hope it doesn't shock anyone...
1. R&J 2, Etude
2. Final Time Traveller, Believe

(I thought of putting them first, cause they're absolutely beautiful, but emotional attachment-wise first ones win)
3. R&J 1, Hana Ni Nare, Phantom 1
Sorry I couldn't choose between them so I put them in places this way

I certainly LOVE his sparkly-frilly-elegant style and in my mind R&J2 fits his lines the best. I think I fell in love with his aesthetics when I first saw him in this costume.
I think I'm in a minority here
:
I think you are not. It seems that there are at least as many fans of frilly-sparkly as those of more-subdued Yuzu.
I also agree that the R&J 2.0 costume fit his lines perfectly. I loved the ombre pattern and how it made him look so unusually slender and elongated. I loved the mesh on the sleeve and how sleeves gradually faded into the black gloves and made the movements of his hands more pronounced. I loved the assymetry and the color string around his wrist. What I think I could live without (and why this costume didn't make my top 3) are the big colorful rhinestones. They stood out a bit too much, I think just black or transparent ones would have been better.
Etude costume, on the other hand, was pretty much perfect. My favortie part, aside from the swirling electric blue color, was the black sparkly see-through sleeve, the assymetry of one black and one blue sleeve and how they both went all the way to the gloves. Probably my favorite male costume of all time, even better than some of the Johnny Weir's ones that l loved.
I liked many of the EX costumes, some more some less. Believe one is odd, it almost looks somewhat unfinished but I loved the color, the flowy, eatheral feel of it and how the sleeved flared a bit at the elbow to be getehred back at the wrist. Final Time Traveler, the blue one... I'm not a fan, to be honest. It's got all the Yuzu elements that I like but the frill on his chest wasn't flattering to his posture and the color was not that great. I liked the sleeves though and the white flowers detail at the waist, it was so Yuzu at his best/worst.
As far as his less frilly costumes go, I did love R&J 1.0, it was perfect for the program, suited him perfectly and was as sparkly as Yuzu costumes should be.
Chopin is great, very eatheral, esepcially the see-through volume-y sleeves. But I have one little complaint: the neckline (or rather no neckline) made him look a bit stiff. I think Yuzuru generally looks better in lower cut costumes. SEIMEI costume also has a very high neckline, but there is more detail to it, a bit of color, so it doesn't look stiff. But then SEIMEI costume looks wonderful, I can't even imagine how Yuzuru could improve on it. He said he wanted to make it more suitable for the harsher competition lighting but I can't imagine what can be done. Change color to red? Red with gold thread would look very striking.
