I think they're a bit on the conservative PCS side. Which I kind of admire.

I would add a caveat: that an individual person is free to choose to Westernize the pronunciation of her/his own name however s/he wants.

For example:
The mogul of Wang computers pronounced the name of his company to rhyme with "sang" (the past tense of the verb).
OTOH, many other Americans named Wang use the traditional pronunciation that is very close to rhyming with "song" (the noun).

I hope that before long, we will have a chance to hear Vivian Le say her own name.

Stupid question:

Does anyone know how Dylan's partner pronounces her own first name? The traditional Russian pronunciation would be Lyubov/Lyuba -- but she spells it Lubov/Luba. Maybe she pronounces it as Lubov/Luba too -- but maybe not.​
