2015 Finlandia Trophy Ladies SP and FS

Not sure about Yulia's program concept...I guess it's about having a fun and upbeat time, but she is not selling it quite just yet. That dress is too distracting for me.

Rika! I thought she kept the energy level up right from the get-go and this style certainly suits her very well. Good for her!

Yay, Rikaaaaa! Loved it! Could have used more speed in the end, but a great start to the season nevertheless. Great program

Baby T and I both enjoyed that program. (I think she just liked the bright green). Baby T has a nice model Hapa in Rika! :)

I could critique Peltonen's skating I suppose but at this point I'm just going to go full out shallow and say whaaaat is that weird flailing shoulder strap thing, I cannot get over it....

*gasp* more than Mao?
It's really hard not to be distracted by Mao the Great. But honestly- Japanese ladies bring a lot of talent to the plate. I think I love all of the ladies who compete at senior level from Team Japan now.

Rika's performance was kind of raw and really enjoyable at the same time, very intense. I really like that program and her styling.
Julia's styling is a bit meeh, great idea, nice hairstyling (as mentioned before in the thread), but the dress ... too many colors. I predict it will get the same attention as that infamous pink dress last season. I would also be nervous wearing that dress, so she is excused.

 Loving Rika's sp! The music and choreo is really unique and creative, building up tension rights away!
And she sells it like there's no tomorrow :)

Yulia - not loving it ... those thumbs up und fun choreo just doesn't suit her if she doesn't smile ...
if I hadn't known this was Yulia, I would never have guessed that this is an Olympic gold medalist skating :slink: Puberty really can take it's toll ....

Rika's program is really sticking in my mind...and I think if she keeps being consistent, it will also stick in the minds of fans and judges. It's a weird and wonderful program.
