I already tried it, but apparently Hola is having problems - I get a message that it's not available currently and "we are working on it".


Edit: Now Hola is working again, and the stream is working for me too . A pity that I didn't hear Tarasova's comments about Vasiljevs.

The scores are typical for the russian cup events or other domestic (russian) competitions, but NOT for international!

I'm hardly paying any attention to figure skating these days(I just watch the score boards and check a youtube video once in a while... paying more attention to Football, MMA, and "esports" like CS:GO and Dota2)... but here's what I said about this event when it was announced.

According to this news story that was just tweeted out, the Russian Fed will apply for Saransk to be included in the Challenger Series. I'm a complete homer for the Russian ladies, but I find the notion to be a bit preposterous . A place in the middle of Russia(that already hosts a Grand Prix event) that almost no one outside of Russia has heard of and doesn't have a history of hosting international figure skating events is not a suitable place to host a challenger series event. TBH, I think the only suitable places in Russia for hosting a challenger series event would be St Petersburg or maybe Sochi.

I didn't think an event in Saransk Russia would be a good idea because of traveling distance(and still think they may have problems getting enough countries to show up), but I will say that it seems to be the most well attended venue by the public for internal Russian events and the rink there is Mihail Sharov(a photographer's) favorite.

And it turned out that it was an event where few counties were represented, and pretty much none outside of the CIS(which is where the score inflation comes from), and with a good audience.

The ISU treats all former soviet republics as real countries because they are real independent and sovereign countries. The skaters and judges were from a good mix of countries.
