Chopin is very hard to choreograph and skate to well. You must have great skating quality. I think the only other skater that pulls it off is Mao. That LP is really a work of art, the way Chan skated it tonight. Might be my favorite of his yet and yes his skating quality is pretty much flawless. It is nice to see the code of points rewarding both quantity and quality as they have this competition. Maybe finally after ten years they are starting to figure it out.

well tonight, the quality was stellar... it wasn't at Japan Open.. it may not be at other times, but tonight I think the podium makes sense.

I'm not sure what you are referring to "Not with a fall." Do you mean because Adam fell on his second 3-axel and the quad attempt? Falls are always given deductions. It matters whether the jumps were fully rotated and it looks like guys get some credit for going for quads under the current system. Not that I agree with all aspects of this wacky IJS scoring system. Look at Hanyu's errors, which certainly didn't affect his PCS.
Sure Nam is growing and his team is making an effort to help him look more mature. For my tastes, Nam is simply not there yet. Yes Nam is trying hard with the music and the studied movements, but he still in my eyes lacks depth and substance to his skating. He was not interpreting the music, just trying to keep up with it. He's on the right track, of course. But with Chan back, Nam won't get the same boost with judges politically, IMO.

I thought it was awesome when us Americans teamed up with the Russians to screw the Canadians over!
We really ought to do it again; it was so much fun watching Canada think they had a chance when we had sealed the deal months before. Suckers!!!

I don' think a lot of people are arguing with the podium, or the order of it. But maybe I'm missing something anyway, because I don't see the hostility either (safe for some single comments, but those are always there for the top skaters). Disagreeing with a score doesn't mean anyone's being disrespectful IMO
It's a little funny though how things are reversed for me compared to Chanyus last meetings: Chan deserved to win overall, but I'm not sure he should have won the LP. Back at GPF 2013 and the Olys I thought Hanyu deserved to win overall, but Chan should have won the LPs. Maybe that's karma or something

I wish I could mute the trolls on the board somehow. Seeing unproductive comments that complain about the scoring without even offering reasons why a skater deserved a lower score is disappointing. I think those individuals just want to cause trouble.

The podium makes sense to me also. I do not agree with those GoE's that Chan got on TES, and some PCS, but in the end the standing is correct
