Florent was 2nd in the LP after Javi. Only if he rotated 2S to 3S in his combo 3A+1L+2S,....
Okay, he is marvelous and he does not need a EC Bronze at his last competitive event to prove how great skater he is. He has been a wonderful skater, performer, and entertainer. No medal is necessary to entail his abilities to perform.
Kudos to Kovtun to keep the performance after the nasty and painful fall early in the program..

Yes. Florent is actually now retired from competitive skating (still sobbing about it)
fernandez also did not deserve to get 94 on pcs. An 85 would be closer to what he put on ice.

YES I LOVE Mikhail!! He has better presentation than Kovtun and his programs are very entertaining!! I hope he can finish above Kovtun at Worlds

7.71 choreo in his last FS in GP. But I guess skating the same program with a fall and skating emptily 10s is an improvement over doing his actual choreo so I can see where they are coming from.

Javi got some generous GOE but I'm more surprised that he got one 10 in Performance / Execution...with a fall...
I guess Amodio's was a case of last performance bonus.
The PE/EX 10 was dumb indeed.

They clearly just give out GOE by favouritism, they never followed the "guidelines". I seriously demand that they write a report after every competition in which the justification of the given GOE is stated. Like based on which bullet points does the skater fulfils that earns him/her the amount of GOE.
Why make it so complicated. Just remove anonimus judging and let's see then if they will put their names at this 0's and +1 GOEs :sarcasm:

It really does seem to be that way. If a good skater skates clean they get +2s and +3s all over the place, a weaker skater making identically good jumps gets +0s and +1s for no real reason.
There's no reason judging should be anonymous anyway. Seriously the only reason is so that they can get away with blatant bias with no repercussions.

Well Javi is THE undisputed top man in Europe though, and this is Europeans... I don't agree with his scores either, but let's wait if being in the same comp with Yuzu outside of Europe won't actually get his scores down a bit again.
I'm so impressed with him adding that 2nd 3A though! He has so much more fight and determination this season, and that makes me so happy! Hopefully he'll manage his new layouts at worlds
