2016 Junior Worlds Ladies Free Skate

As an ex-runner who used to have ankle problems, these girls should put on an ankle brace while they're warming up.

I remember back in my junior year of high school when I had 3 ankle sprains in a period of 3 months....well actually those happened towards the end of my sophomore year to the beginning of my junior year....I had to wear an ankle brace at practice my entire junior year and most of the games (football). But I refused to wear it at competition.

So, who's calling a conspiracy here? This has got to be the weirdest event ever. I hope Marin wins!

That was a thing that Kori was working on. In her TSL interview she mentioned that Tyler does "pretty programs" but thought she was capable of more choreographically. But in my view, if she's doing consistently cleaner programs, it's a trade-off for now until she can do the basics.

Looks like she got a few URs. Too bad. But onward to seniors for good. She wont' finish any worse than 8th.

I don't think it is either or. I think you can for instance let her for one year not worry about being less pretty in her jumps, but have her work on more choreographically in spins only or spins and footwork. It sounds like Tyler needs to find her just right Goldilocks bed for the balance between letting her do what works for her and still having room to grow and using that growth space to actually grow.

Sad for Alisa. Hope this won't add extra pressure on Maria. She is the only survivor from Russia at this competition.

Looking better and better for the USA to get a JR world medal again.

How? Tyler is in 3rd as of right now. And Bradie still has to beat the scores from Yuna, Elizabet along with the other girls in the final group. All those of six girls have better SB than Bradie at the moment.

I don't think it's an either or either. I'm just saying that RIGHT now, in my opinion, getting her confidence in doing the jumps takes precedence in doing "less pretty programs." I'm hoping that as she gains that confidence, it will be easier to challenge herself choreographically.

So only one lady for Russian in FS, Maria needs a top 2 finish to secure 3 spots for next year.

She'll have to win to get three spots, yes?

I don't know what the upcoming Russian junior rank will look like but I imagine they'll need more than two spots :slink:

Edit: Oh okay, so top two will do. Good luck!
