2016 World Championships Ladies Free Skate

can someone tell me what time the last group starts european time? thanks!

Firstly, welcome to the forum, edten2! Post often, post long! :cheer:

Secondly.... last group starts at 9:58 EST, and European time is between 5-7 hours ahead (I think), so around 4:58 to 6:58 AM?

No matter how this shakes out, I think it's brilliant that the event is ending with Ashley Wagner's Moulin Rouge. The show must go oooooon, folks. :tantrum:

Ugh so sad that this is the last event. I'll have go through another figure skating withdrawal... :drama:

I really, really hope the skate order works for her. There will be a TON of noise for Gracie (hopefully for a great skate), and I hope it doesn't rattle Ashley. Just hoping all of our favorite ladies tun in skates that make them feel proud and they take away awesome memories from this :hap10:

She's mentally positioned as the underdog, and usually that does her good. (Knock on wood).

thank you :) that means 4 am in budapest -.- :D is it sure it won't be 30 mins earlier? cuz i don't wanna miss the first two russians in the last group when i wake up at 4.

That was just guess but i think good one our live stream stops at 06.00 in morning

Who is at TCC?

(Also, sorry for sending you a bunch of PMs...)

For sure, there will be Miyahara, Rodeghiero, Daleman, Gold, Tursynbaeva, and Tuktamysheva.

The contenders for the third spot for each team (and the current standings for votes) are:
Team Asia - Park 1st, Hongo 2nd, Li 3rd
Team North America - Wagner 1st, Chartrand 2nd
Team Europe - Radionova 1st, Kuchvalska 2nd, Medvedeva 3rd

It's a fix because Gold was definitely overscored in the SP. And they've set her up to win even if she makes a mistake or two.

Oh. So. Maybe you can explain how the fix worked for the US in the men's event last night? Or how it worked for Gracie at Skate America last October? I mean, SURELY you can explain those fixes so they make sense to the rest of us.

Dear Favorites (Gracie, Elena, Mao, Rika, Zijun, Alaine, and Mirai):

Please don't die.

Nervously,
Layback

Dear Forum Members,

Please don't become enraged if Gracie medals.

Respectfully,
Layback

Dear Judging Panels,

Please keep your heads intact. Do not do not DO NOT get overexcited and start pushing random buttons on the computer if someone skates perfectly! Also, don't inflate anyone's scores enough to make the people on GS whine about it!

Frustratedly,
Layback

No matter who wins people here are going to whine. Sure....I'm always curious if she'll get an edge call on that flip but I also think those are over punished so to me it's just a curiousity in consistency thing. Anyways.....I think Gracie has all it takes...as I do with many many others... to be a deserving World Champion. I do think she'll get inflated PCS and some will get nasty and even personal about it. I think that somewhere along the line people started confusing rudeness with keeping it real

really excited/anxious about tonight's event!!!! Are you feeling confident about your favorite's chances?

I'm rooting for Mao, she often pulls it together in the free program so I am hopeful. I would prefer Ashley medal over Gracie, I just think the has fabulous PCS and is so fun to watch, I'm hopeful for her too. I'm not incredibly fond of the Russians but I am rooting for my Canadian gals Alaine and Gabby! I think Gabby will (hopefully) pull it together quite well in the free.

I want all three US ladies to bring it tonight.

Aside from the US pairs teams, the rest of team USA has been great this week.

I am also rooting for Mao and also prefer Ashley over Gracie! I admire the Russian girls greatly and feel that if they sweep the podium after great skates no one would be surprised. Alaine and Gabby are not that well known to me but I know that since Joannie retired Canadians have had a hard time building up their ladies program so I hope they make you extremely proud!

Hoping all the ladies just rock it and do their best! All fans would love this, right!?

Dammit. I'm more and more afraid this will be a less than exciting evening for me. The entire setting says it's practically impossible for the Americans not to win the title, the streaming situation becomes increasingly worrisome, only choppy low-res if at all, and given how yesterday the GS server completely refused to respond from the beginning of Shoma's skate until after his scoring I fear something similar will happen over the entire ladies' last group.

Maybe I should just go to bed. :bed:

Good luck to all the ladies!

And personally hoping for a Evgenia-Mao-Satoko podium (in no particular order) with Rika in top 5.

Team Russia hasn't been on the podium yet, I keep my fingers and everything crossed that Zhenija and/or Anna can change that. Would have loved to see Lena there as well, but that might just not happen.
Go Russian girls :clapper:
