2016 World Championships Ladies Free Skate

Anna P. for WC! Anna P. for WC!! :cheer::cheer::cheer::cheer::cheer:
It has to happen, it rhymes!

How amazing would it be if at the end, underrated Russian #3 Anna would get Russia a gold medal? She also has the best 3-3 of that top 6 and the best LP for me too. So go Anna, gooooooooo!!!:cheer:

Anna is my favourite Russian, but I'm trying to manage expectations for all my favourites to avoid (potential) disappointment. (But omg, you would need to scatter my ashes because Id be dead if that happens)

I love her, i want it so much... but it is very unlikely.

You're just copying and pasting this nonsense now, aren't you? I swear you've posted this at least 20 times already. Enough. :rolleye:

Darned tootin' I am.

And when the following *nonsense* stops:

1. The Americans didn't clap for a clearly superior skater (particularly a Russian one). They didn't clap on time for a clearly superior skater. They didn't clap in harmony for a clearly superior skater. Rude prejudiced Americans.

2. An American is winning, or scoring higher, only because the judges are scarily, eerily, and by some magic influenced by the American crowd.

Then I will stop the nonsense. Let's see which nonsense stops first.

Replace Americans with Russians... i remember the exactly same complaints at Sochi 2014.

Why? She's sitting in 2nd, Gracie has a history of bombing...Evgenia seens nervous...Theres a chance! But me, I'm biased so i'd like Gracie to get it....but Evgenia and Anna are also my favorites so its a win, win, win situation lol.

Clean short programs, immediately followed by doom and gloom and splatfest predictions. Eleven pages of bad vibes and low expectations before the LP even begins. I am going to hope for the best and enjoy the skating. And probably stay off here!!! Have fun with your gritchin! It's been a long medal drought for the U.S. If we win, I may come back here and do this :ddevil::hb::yahoo::clap:

I hope that Russian girls will skate so well, that audience and everybody will forget about politics and will clap ok. And the main idea of such events is connection and globalization. Hope it is so!)

Okay, deal

why would the judges want Gracie to win anymore than any other skater?

Exactly!! What is wrong with some of you? The Judging panel is international and they have no vested interest in handing a title to someone who doesn't deserve it. When has that ever happened? I could have sworn that everyone in Russia wanted Lip to win the Olympics. However, it was Sotnikova who stepped up to the plate and Won. It was a surprise but not a shock due to Sotnikova's superior performance.

Lastly, as a long time skating fan, I have no interest in seeing a subpar skater become the Champion and representative of our fine sport. I want the best skater to win. Period!

Replace Americans with Russians... i remember the exactly same complaints at Sochi 2014.

There may have been, but I didn't make them (I did once ask why the crowd was so silent for Jason Brown's engaging and clean SP, and I was told that the prices were so high that real figure skating fans couldn't afford them. But I did not, to my memory, raise it again after the answer. Then again my memory is not so good. :biggrin:I don't follow the ladies that closely and absolutely no opinion on Adelina's win. )

But I really can't take seriously the "rudeness" or "conspiracy" posts. So I choose to laugh.:)

ETA: And I do want everyone to cheer for every good performance. The way a presumably majority American crowd did for Javi last night.

I wish I were so sure about Gracie's victory like some of the people here.

Good luck, firebird!:cheer2:

 I know!!

It seems to be a foregone conclusion that she'll win....you're all getting my hopes up for the girl who has (never?) put together 2 clean programs!

Go Ashley, Gracie, Anna, I would be extremely happy with any of you guys to win the title.

Asid from the very top tier, Zijun, Mirai, Amy, Nicole, Rika, So Youn, Niki, Gabby, Alaine, show your full potentials before wrapping up the season. Go girls!:hap10:

Probably the best Olympics I've ever seen!! I loved the opening and closing ceremonies.

The most worst Olympics in history I've ever seen. :disagree: No doubt.

I like London's opening and closing ceremonies the most.

We have hit 12 pages and the event hasn't even started yet. :p

(Anyone think this thread'll hit 200 pages?)

Well if it does hit 200 pages it will give us all something to read during the off-season. Not that I don't admire such off-season topics like, "Do Sequins Make a Difference for Landing Triple/Triple Comobs?" and ""How many times can you hear Carmen in one competition before major mental illness sets in?" But you know a change of pace is always appreciated!
