I've actually made something similar when my daughter did synchronized swimming. Hers were made by sewing strings of sequins onto plastic canvas to completely cover it.

My CBC stream works very well, except when I had my crappy internet problems. They only runs ads at the beginning and restarts, unlike some Euro streams crowded with ads like roaches you can't kill off.
