Yeah, in the SP, I thought the judges were going with Rika. Here... not so much. I don't understand, what does she have to do to get proper recognition? She's been skating great for two seasons, just because she has a different style from Mao and the Russian girls, she gets marked less? Do you have to be the elegant type to score really well?

See what I mean. That's why it upsets me so much when I hear people complain about Russia and their commentators. When I saw Maria B. I was wearing a giant American Flag hoody and she still kissed me... What does that tell you.

Totally random note, but I finally figured out why Yo So Maria sounds familiar (outside of ice skating lol). Pretty sure I've heard strains of it in the musical In the Heights, which wouldn't surprise me at all. Just a fun, unnecessary note lol

Gabby Daleman needs to finish ahead of Zijun to guarantee Canada 2 spots.

(That is, it's still possible to get 2 if she doesn't, but it'd require other skaters falling below Gabby if she doesn't get ahead of Zijun)

ETA: And by that, I meant ahead of Nicole because I forgot it's 28 for 2 spots and not 26.

and I would argue that she has been just as consistent as the russians, her tech might be a bit lower and her posture isnt the best but i dont understand why shes always being low balled ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
