2016-2017 Programs by Discipline

Thank God. I hope they will not change their mind :)

Haha her exact words were for sure no hip hop so I don't think they will be changing their minds. I think they decided on the style they're going for, all she said was that they have some music to choose from already but they haven't gotten to the choreography stage. And then she told me no more clues:p

I'm a little disappointed though - for me they're one of the few teams that could actually make hip hop work. Anyway, glad to learn they'll be choosing something 'out of the box' again; they are so refreshing to watch.

Hmm, the only team I see that will work so far is Virtue/Moir, their Sorry EX at CSOI was hip hop themed and I liked it and the audience had a lot of fun with it. Weaver/Poje also did a hip hop number to Get Low, and well, I just didn't think it fit. It was lively and they danced with people sitting at the sides but I just didn't feel it. Gilles/Poirier seem too quirky for hip hop.

I'm certain I'm in the minority here, but I'd love to see some Chock and Bates hip hop action. :cool14:

Heck, I liked their Beyoncé EX, and their Wear Sunscreen (Baz Luhrmann) EX was good fun, so yes, I would be interested to see Chock & Bates do hiphop, too.

Me three.

Evan is a much better dancer than he's ever given credit for. Just watch thta Beyonce EX. No white boy hips there. Just saying.

Igor will never do something like that for competitive program  Although I have to say I would love them to try, they can always change it if it'll be received badly. Nothing new for them, considering 'Sleeping Beauty' and glorious 'Dark Eyes' waltzes

Rising Russian juniors Alisa Lozko & Elizaveta Nugumanova are working on programs in Canada this week.

Does that mean Emanuel Sandhu is doing their choreo? Wow!

Pj Kwong posted this video of Emanuel doing choreo with a Russian skater, I think Evgenii Semenenko maybe? So it could be. Put she also posted this photo of choreographer Lance Vipond with Alisa Lozko. So maybe not everyone's with Emanuel.

I know it probably won't happen, but I would love to see Stolbova/Klimov compete with their free skate one more year. I feel it had the potential to be one of the best programs ever, but the inconsistency and injuries made things complicated and despite the brilliant performance at GPF, I feel they could do something more with it.

liza_tuktik I just had an amazing week with a wonderful choreographer and just a good man)) Thanks for the good work Emanuel

I hope it won't be too "Mishinized" by the time we get to see it ;) I love Emanuel, but I'm not familiar with any programs he has choreographed before.

Does this mean that maybe Deniss Vasiljevs is also working with Stephane?

Good looking crew if ya ask me :)

I had a hunch this could be possible, especially since Yulia was already there. Deniss seemed to really bond with Stephane between the YOG and Ice Legends. And he's so much like a young Stephane that I am dying to see them work on spins together. Very excited to see the fruits of this collaboration!
