Anyone also almost hoping their costumes will have a mud/clay theme?

Is this another young folks' reference that I don't get? I was around when the Righteous Brothers had their hit in the 60s, although just a young pup, but I don't know about mud or clay.

Since IN says it was the happy couple's first dance, maybe a bridal theme?

I think it's a reference to the scene in the film, Ghost, where Demi Moore shapes an object from clay while Unchained Melody is playing in the background. There are clips from the scene in this montage:

For me, at least, this is the scene I always think of when I hear the name of the song, Unchained Melody. I haven't seen the movie in forever so I could be misremembering.

Okey dokey, now I get it. I think I might have seen the movie, but I forget:biggrin: Since the song was such a huge hit in the 60s, I wouldn't associate it with a movie, but just with the fact that it was a popular song. But like with certain skaters, you have to be old enough to remember the original:laugh:

Ice Dance got it... and here i thought i was making an old joke that the young one would not get. Hell Chris and Alexa might be too young to get the Ghost reference even.

But yes... Ghost was the first exposure I had to that song... and I will never be able to hear it without thinking of spinning clay wheel thingies.

Though to be honest I likely have seen The Naked Gun spoof version more times... but still evokes images of mud/clay.
