Patrick Chan

Tomorrow is the day!!
I'm really anxious and I hope he will not retire because I want to see "journey" as a competitive program.

i don´t know how works the training camp...
They are only competitive skaters? It is voluntary or are forced to go by the federation or sponsors?:scratch2:

LOL, High Performance Camp is not (AFAIK) an unwelcome obligation that must be forced upon skaters.

It is for Skate Canada's national team, many or all of whom probably consider it a beneficial opportunity and/or privilege.

An opportunity to get constructive feedback on programs, as well as other kinds of advice/information/support from Skate Canada.

(I for one do not recall any negativity whatsoever from Patrick -- or from any other skater -- regarding High Performance Camp.)

I do not affirm, just wondering.
There are activities scheduled by the federations and / or sponsors and skaters can not refuse . That's why I asked.

The U.S. too has a similar camp, aka Champ Camp, for the top skaters. Skaters should and do consider such camps as opportunities and an honour. Specialists in nutrition, training, motivation, etc. are invited as well, plus pre-season feedback on new programs. As well, skaters get to meet and support each other and build team spirit, often with games and activities designed for such a purpose.

It's also a time for publicity and media inquiries. I look forward to Patrick's announcements about his current plans, programs, etc.

Vivley! Wow! My favorite post yet!
You know, seeing Patrick with those youngsters - I truly believe that children gravitates to gentle souls. Those pictures prove that. It must have taken you a lot of time to compile all those pictures. Thank you so much! :thank:

4everchan . . . I'm glad to stopped where you did. This is a "G" rated forum you know! (But then I knew you'd go there when I asked the question!) ;)

You're welcome, blueberryhill. :) It did take awhile, and I'm sure Patrick is wondering why he has so many "likes" on his old tweets, because I went back all the way to the beginning of his Twitter account (2009). Back then he interacted with the fans a lot more, too. With the photos I only managed to get to 2013, so I'll have to dig deeper for any older ones of him with kids.

My favorite pictures are of him with the babies. He's so good with them, and none of them are crying. :agree:

labour of love you are doing viv... so appreciated by us fans.
