Hahaha! I do remember Violet Bliss, and I thank you kindly. I knew where you were coming from and I really was only teasing you :) I could never be mad at someone who loves Patrick as much as we all do!

Did you notice that I only stayed the newest poster here for less than two days!!!!

(Mango: while I like the idea of reviving the promising Cdn skater thread, I think we need a place to gather up all this CDN-positive energy if new fans are joining GS.

TGee thanks for the suggestion. I've asked for the OK to start one. The original post on fan fests suggests pages for smaller federations, so if it's ok for a bigger one we can get together and party there. :hb:

I'd love to see the photo of Gabby and Lubov with the Nebelhorn Team Award cup in the OP.....Despite the cynicism I've noticed on GS, Canadians and training sites in Canada IMO are genuinely successful at creating a supportive comraderie while promoting excellence in competition. It makes sense to celebrate that as a whole, while maintaining our individual support for Patrick and our other personal favourites.

Canada team has had a great start at the Autumn Classic, Alaine's fighting through her SP not withstanding. Really looking for a place for us to grove to that without feeling like we're edging on being OT or cross-posting....
 
TGee I'd welcome any discussion about Canadians that's positive or constructive criticism. I get my fill of bashing by doing it myself to the screen. :laugh:

We're going to go nuts in about a week. Let's fill the fan fest with Patrick news and sightings. Get that hype train rolling!

Thanks for the explanation. I will be sure to put on my sunscreen and shades so as not to get toasted by your violet rays! :cool: :laugh:

I used to be a Junior Bronze judge/evaluator..not for awhile now. I thank you, but you can do much better than me for your blog. I found judging quite difficult. It was a humbling experience. So much to learn with IJS code of points which has changed drastically since I last judged a competition about 8 years ago. I am a much better fan!!
 
Happy to chime in. Been spending the last few hours catching up, and taking a look at livestream and replays...

Had to put a priority this afternoon on well watching kids skating, over well watching skating...

Sounds like you had an exciting weekend. :) Too bad your phone died on you. I laughed so hard at your "zamboni" comment :rofl: and I would have loved more of those zingers from the event. Next time bring a power bank recharger with you so that you can juice up your phone on the go! :)

ps: From now on we should refer to happylife as The Loin Queen! :laugh2:
