Awww, how nice of him to choose from her cd. Always so respectful. David did a wonderful job with this one. I would love to hear his thoughts on doing work with yuzu again. I could watch this program over and over... wait, I already did that, lol.

According to this article, Yuzuru chose his new EX music from the CD which Tarasova had given him after Boston. With the music she wanted him to skate to.

Oh be still my heart, I cannot believe this. So close. So, so close to my dream of her doing just one, just one!, choreography for him! Ahhh, how I want to hear her comment on it now. So close! But I am so glad he did this :luv17:

Excuse me now while I go cry in a corner that I'll probably never get my wish.

Polish comentators compare Yuzu and Patrick (after Patrick's performance)

"Both of them are magnificent skaters but I can't imagine Yuzuru Hanyu skating a program like that, so chill, in a costume like that. Reversely, it's hard to imagine Chan in those balletic, exalted themes that we could see from Hanyu."

"Well, Hanyu is kind of like a precious rare flower, beautifully nurtured, ethereal and delicate whereas Chan is masculine, strong... and that's got its good side too. "
:laugh2:

I guess these two guys have never seen Yuzu's rock exhibitions.

ETA: and these are different comentators than the Polish Eurosport uncles, looks like Yuzu can wrench a lyrical description even from tech-oriented commentators.

So I finally watched Hanyu's FS. I loved it more and more each time I watched. (Confession: I must of hit the replay button on YouTube for nearly an hour.) I really liked the music especially the crescendo in the middle of the program. Since I play the violin I'm naturally a sucker for classic music. I'm hoping that Hanyu doesn't skip 4CC this year. It's in South Korea and personally think that he would have more success at worlds if he had a "warmup" competition before the "big one" aka worlds.

Hi everyone, I wanted to share my recording of Yuzuru's practice session for his new exhibition piece to Notte Stellata (The Swan).

You'll notice that there were a few other skaters on the ice with him, but at some point everyone moved to the sides and it was just Yuzuru skating by himself on the ice. While the gala performance of this piece was beautiful, this particular practice performance had a different feel to it that may not come across in my video. Maybe it was because there were fewer people in the audience, but it definitely felt like Yuzuru was in his own little world here.

I can't get over how much i liked the EX program. I don't know how many times i've seen it, it feels like a gift. At the end he seemed so overwhelmed by emotions, like he did put all his heart in the performance. Watching it i feel like my heart is resting and i'm being carried by him through a very pleasant emotional lullaby.
I know i've said i refer to him as a kitty but from now on, he's my Baby Swan.

Wait, wait, Tokyo Ghoul? Did Yuzuru do the pose because he reads it? Or did Medvedeva just tag it because Yuzu's hand pose happens to remind her of Kaneki cracking his fingers? (In which case: she reads/watched Tokyo Ghoul??!!?) I'm really curious because it's my favorite manga.
Evgenia loves Tokyo Ghoul. :) either she asked Yuzu to make the hand sign for the pic, or Yuzu decided to do it to make her happy without her asking.

it's amazing this very peculiar kind of EX is skated by one of the best jumper ever, if not the best ( surely he is for me!) :)

Agree!
in the EX, the flow from the delayed 1A to 3A is just amazing! he changes even jumps, which are sometimes thought to be opposite concept of artistry, to the great work of art. A fan referes to Robin Cousins, who once did open axcel to 2A. His axcel staying in the air long was beautiful. She’d thought yuzu could do delayed 1A to 3A. Finally, he did.

Further, i find this vocal is the best of best. it's increasing the sales in japan sharply and already won the top.https://www.amazon.co.jp/gp/movers-and-shakers/dmusic/?tag=a8-affi-207590-22  Further, they tweeted about it.
