Per my guess I think he will do 4lo3T in competition before that.
It's not getting him anything. If he wants to put it into the 2nd half of the LP, he'd change it with the 4T (way better for his health anyway) and just keep the 4S3T I guess. I know Yuzu wants to add more difficulty all the time, but he never changed the combo from 4T3T before just for 'more difficulty', he only did now because of the injury. Have there been more videos of him landing it?
It will very, very, very likely not happen this season, and it shouldn't. Yuzu didn't just include a new quad with the 4Lo, in both programs at that, he also went from 3 quad LP to 4 quad LP. IMO, that is a way bigger and more difficult change then changing a 4S to a 4Lz in the LP, even if that is another new quad. He's doing the 'biggest work' this season. Add his late start because of injury, and he has a lot on his plate already.Could someone enlighten me why he would want to do that? It's not getting him anything. I'm also a bit surprised at how far opinions are differing regarding the 4LzIt will very, very, very likely not happen this season, and it shouldn't. Ultimately though, while of course getting mileage on new elements is very important, I think 4lz at the start of next season could work. Remember how Yuzu just added that 3rd quad last season, while never really skating a clean 2 quad LP, and everybody thought it would take him forever to skate well? Clean in his 3rd try (and in the 4th). How we never got a clean Chopin, and then 2nd quad and boom - perfect? 3 times out of 3 internationally at that. IMO, it's 99% about being healthy and in top shape. If he manages that, I wouldn't be surprised to see him land 4Lz out of spread eagles, 4Lo twizzle sandwiches or 5 quads just for the lolz on his first try. The problem is just that being healthy and in that top shape is a really difficult task all on it's own.

I think flu is really bad everywhere this year. It is really bad here in southern Ontario as well ( including Toronto).
4Lz 4Lo3T 3A SP maybe?![]()
Anyway, considering it is Yuzuru, and how he suddenly announced that he would do a 2 quad SP mid-season just by NHK trophy presscon, I doubt anything else would surprise me. If he even decide to do crazy stuff at 4cc, I will just laugh it off, really.
Also, quite the opposite, I think doing more number of quads is easier than doing a new type of quad. Like I can imagine him doing 5-quad program if it was only sal and toe (look at him doing 4S as his last jump during runthrough) but for him to do 4 different type, I would imagine it will give him a hard time.
Regarding his 4S3T in FS/LP, he did it so beautifully in his practice run-through at Autumn Classic (http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x4w6dsd_2016-09-29-autumn-classic-international-practice-yuzuru-hanyu_sport, jump to 3:12 or even better start at 1:53 to see beautiful skating) - does he do the more typical entry for 4S here though (rather than the 4T entry he has done in competitions)? - I'm not very good at telling yet. The person who filmed this did it greatly btw :agree:
I think that while it might not be very important, doing the 4S3T there when timed right does match very well with the music and wouldn't the best move at this point in the season to change to the more traditional 4S entry? Maybe that's what he is looking to do right now with Shae Lynn Bourne? He was a bit behind the music with the jump at NHK and GPF - I'm sure this is stuff you guys already have discussed, but I just really thought about it today reading about the fact that he's back in Toronto (Hi, btwI'm new)
Also regarding 4lz, if he gets the 4lo under control by focusing on it now adding the 4lz next season could perhaps be easier, since he will then "only" have one new quad jump? Isn't the reason for him slowing down a bit with the toe-jumps also due to his previous injury?

Because doing two 4lo with get higher BV? And adding a 3T is still easier than a new quad?Could someone enlighten me why he would want to do that? It's not getting him anything. and i want him to finally get the World Champion title again...All this talk has made me feel very worried. I know we should trust him and this is probably something he saw coming and is already preparing for it but still i feel anxious... I want him to have an Oly gold that doesn't make him feel regretand i want him to finally get the World Champion title again...

Hang in there! I want OGM and at least another WC so badly for Yuzu too. I want to feel reassured that Yuzu is letting people around him properly support him, and that he's going to have the best shot going forward. (I need to get myself together and stop freaking out, but I blame it on Tumblr and silly anon asks. Grrrr.)
Thanks to Nathan, our thread grew 7 pages![]()

so yeah, I really think this year there is more 'upgrading' then adding the 4Lz to the LP would be next season.Because doing two 4lo with get higher BV? And adding a 3T is still easier than a new quad?
Quick question: why does Yuzuru not get a deduction when he does that slide thing in the Prince sp?

why should he get a deduction for a knee slide ??![]()
Because I remember watching his Requiem EX and Kurt said that if it were a competition he would already have a 1 point deduction when he was on the ground (ice) at the beginning
Quick question: why does Yuzuru not get a deduction when he does that slide thing in the Prince sp?
He doesn't had a deduction because he didn't actually fall on that 4Lo. But instead, his 4Lo was being counted as a downgraded jump.
