Random Confessions

Or what about the EYOF, which starts on Tuesday.

One of the skaters I have adopted is competing in it, so I am hoping that we will get coverage.

Didn't realise that Russian Juniors was this week. Now I'm torn over switching to it tomorrow or continuing with the Universiade. :drama:

So many events! I'm afraid EYOF may end up being lesser event that Russian Junior Nationals...

I thought people always assumed I was immature and I was fine with that  A girl though....not sure why but I'll admit I was raised and surrounded by mostly girls.

when i first came on here, you had a girl as avatar and size 7 boots? well i don't skate but that is sort of small feet no??? and also you were sweet with everyone, and somehow, I thought that this kindness and the small feet + Sam (okay fine could be either)... i don't remember how I realized you were a dude ;) hehe... then I thought... what a nice boy ;) lol

Wasn't the girl Yulia Lipnitskaya?

About a year or so ago, I came across this novice skater. And as soon as I saw her surname, I said "she has to be from an Irish family. That's as typical an Irish surname as you can get!"

I came across her Dad's Facebook profile yesterday. He's Arab. :o:

To be fair, the spelling of her surname is exactly the same as a common Irish surname. So you can't blame me for thinking she was Irish. Especially when there are lots of Irish people in the country where she lives (hey, there aren't many countries where we don't get! )

But, when you look at it again and pronounce it differently, it is typically Arabic as well.

So, I don't have a claim to her after all. :disapp:

Although, her Mum's from Adelaide. So if you want to claim her, karne... ;)

I cannot drink coffee in the morning... just at night...

I can't do coffee in the morning either...because I am those kind of people who do not add sugar or syrup to coffee because the sweet and bitter taste together makes me ugh (well i guess that counts as a confession lol?), and i dont like something bitter in the morning...I only drink coffee in the afternoon. Morning is cocoa time!

I registered on GS 3 years ago today, but for more than two years I was only a lurker here. And the main reason for that was that I felt really embarrassed of my English, and I didn't find the mental strength to express my opinions here :hopelessness:

...

I am still embarrassed sometimes but I'm very happy to be here

Thank you to everyone! :thank:

I joined in November 2012 (!), but started posting frequently about 1,5 year ago I think, still unsure about language (today I've been even quoted with pointing my spelling mistake ), but carry on!

God sallycinnamon and NNF, if your posts are examples of "bad English" I can't wait to see your posts when you have super awesome English, LOL. so glad to have you both on GS!

Your English is excellent! And dont worry about spelling...any language that has a rule like, "I" before"E" except after "C" , excepting "neighbors weighing ancient glaciers" is doomed to die anyway.

Being quoted is the usual way I discover grammatical and spelling mistakes in my posts! :palmf:

Yeah, I have made WAY too many grammar and spelling mistakes and I have no "this is my second language" excuse.
