2017 Jr Worlds Mens FS

yay for Aliev <3

Grats for all russians

Sad for Cha, he should be above Samarin probably.

The Zhou/Chen rivalry of the near future is going to be very very interesting.

Thank goodness.

Nevermind Cha...but Aliev was the skate of the day for me! Not only technically great but gorgeous presentation and performance.

Poor Samohin. Had he hold his nerve in the SP, he would at least get silver here. No quad needed in the SP and most landed those triples cleanly.

I knew if a Vincent landed all his Quads he would beat any gap. As for the PCS scores, they're suppose to be lower in juniors. That's normal. He goes senior next year, so he can work on them then.

So, Vincent working on any other quads? Say 4T, 4F? For next season?

He has a 4F and 4T. But honestly if you follow him he is not the most consistent skater out there. I just had a feeling he will do well because he is not ahead in the SP thus less pressure for the FS. If it is the other way around he usually bombs his FS. :slink:

LOL. The protocols are not even out, but the whining about scoring, "wuzrobbed" etc already started...

as always in Men, regardless if junior or senior, I call it 'power of projecting', so many personal sentiments under those statements, so many of them taken from personal preferences and thinking that high tech should always match relatively high PCS. And the worst of all - some will complain/whine or argue just for depreciating, belittling other skaters they don't like or don't even acknowledge...

Urghh.. this is what annoys me. Jun is 3.08 points from 3rd place, those Political Component Scoring points really matter!!! The only way to over come it is to be perfect

Cha's PCS barely cleared the lifeless Samarin. It's sad.
But senior will correct all that. You want big PCS, land clean quads.
If you put as much effort into learning about PCS crirteria and how they are evaluated... as you do into your conspiracy theories...

...You would find you either
a) have a lot less to complain about after all,
or
b) would actually be able justify your complaints (wouldn't that be something?)

Same for everyone else posting their complaints about PCS, but with no justification beyond 6.0-style "I liked skater X more, so they 'deserve' more points", or unsubstantiated conspiracy theories.

Dimitri needs to up his content. He had the 6th TES score of the night. He really benefits from the current rules not allowing quads in the SP. He will have a hard time in Seniors

Aliev second and no melting down, wow:agree:
Just happy for him, I just hope, in the future, he can add some quads and be consistent:love:.
He skates so beautiful it would be a shame to be lost in the quads world :(.

I agree. He really drew me in tonight in a way he didn't previously. I'm glad he got the highest PCS.

Maybe he'll become the male Diva Wagner.
