What a shame, I love watching vids from gala practices. I still hope for quad battle, but who knows, there weren't many this season. I remember only the one from CoC.
). It was the last time we saw CoD landed...
Natalya Bestemyanova mentions Yuzu in her latest interview...

He never forgets.

Awww Yuzu is such a darling :luv17:He never forgets.
Thanks for the share![]()
I think that you may be right about Yuzu and Team Japan. "Old" boys in TJ back then were good friends if I remeber correctly, so it's not weird that they weren't so eager to befriend someone who was a new threat to them. It may also be one of the reasons why he is so invested in playing big bro for younger skaters, like Satoko (poor baby, I like her so much :sad21: ) and Shoma.
). Like, they were eachother's favourite rival. And Yuzu visibily loves Nobu and Akiko dearly, and they both love him back, and were very good senpais for him back then. I don't know if he knows Mao that well, but she always seemed pretty warm toward him too.+ one more :sad21:
There was one at GPF, right? Iirc only Yuzu and Javi participated (Shoma was hiding). It was the last time we saw CoD landed...

There are certain things that don´t add up there, but never mind!![]()
I'll translate that later, I'm at work, unfortunately!
I don't feel that he was ever close to Dai or Taka, yes. But he visibly admired Tatsuki a lot and loved their rivalry, you probably can't say they were close but there was something pretty intense going on there (well, they're both pretty intense so ...). Like, they were eachother's favourite rival. And Yuzu visibily loves Nobu and Akiko dearly, and they both love him back, and were very good senpais for him back then. I don't know if he knows Mao that well, but she always seemed pretty warm toward him too.
As for Mura and Kanako, the simple fact that all team Japan chose POTO programs in 2014-2015, with matching costumes, shows that they are pretty close, I think. Mura and Yuzu share several passions, as it was said earlier, Yuzu skated to Kananko's favourite song on her birthday when they were teens, and Nobu stated on TV that the skaters he was the closest to were Yuzu, Akiko and Kanako, so I wouldn't be surprised the four of them got along very well. And there's always Ryuji and Keiji...
You don't have to hang out with people to be close to them - you just have to love them and stay in contact. As far as we know, Yuzu could be chatting online with his friends every day - didn't he tell that he was playing games with his japanese friends ? Perhaps there are some skaters among them, as it seems that skaters are generally fond of videogames
Yuzu strikes me as someone very sociable, but who likes having time alone. I'm a bit like this too. It doesn't mean he doesn't have close friends in TJ, imho...
ETA : sorry if it sounds so gossipy, I'm too obsessed by this kid, obviously. It's his private life... I just wanted to say that I think he is well loved in TJ, and was already when he was younger.
since I have always found Yuzu to be extraordinarily consistent (and true) in tone and message whenever he comes out from ninja mode. The author had written another piece in 2015 discussing Yuzu's mediagenicity alongside other athletes. Also a fun read which I can get to after Worlds if there's any interest I agree with you, I also think that he and Mura like each other too? I was only refering to the situation from the post I was replying, I shouldn't use Team Japan, it has to wide meaning, sorry :hslap:

Amazing stuff]
Roman's RJ he kept from last year, so it isn't from tcc unless they changed some choreography for this season.

The Eurosport schedule for the Netherlands is depressing. Looks like no live men's SP coverage (or any live SP coverage, for that matter), and I'm pretty sure no FS live coverage, either. I also have a Eurosport Player subscription, but that's of not use to me because I'll be in Helsinki. So no way to catch any live commentary on the streams, and since they don't get archived... Meh. I hope other Eurosports are more interested in live figure skating (meaning talking about Hanyu) this world championship!
Mediagenic athlete, Yuzuru Hanyu, has broken down the “emotional grammar” in this nationally popular documentary program—I was left with this impression after 24 minutes.
Wow... I've always wanted to watch that documentary, now i'm even more curious...The Jounetsu Tairiku thing haha
I programmed my TIVO box today because I'm leaving tomorrow, since I'm going to spend a few days in Latvia and Estonia before heading back to Helsinki for Worlds. To my surprise, I think Eurosport UK is showing most of Worlds, including mens SP, LP and gala --- that's :eeking: --- considering how truncated their coverage has been this year.
Although I'll be watching live, I'll probably have my eyes half closed before each of Yuzu's jumps, since that's what I do when I watch live on TV. I know that's silly, but it's just too stressful!
. I'm sad
. The sparkles don't look the same in low definition. Purple pants even lessGladiolusc, I adore you a bit more every day. If you go on feeding us with other amazing translations, I might consider proposing <3
I enjoy reading other's writing about Yuzu/ Yuzu sharing his own thoughts a lot, the more in-depth, the better. :hap85: And I think it's fun to discuss as well. So I'll work hard for the proposal :luv17:
