Yep! 11 by Yuzu and 11 by Yuna. Hoping more to come from Yuzu![]()
He's caught up with Yuna? Great! You've been slacking a bit, Yuzu dear...

You know, after re watching the FS so many time, I've come to really like watching the biellmann here. His spin was smooth, fast, well centered and I like how he doesn't drop his leg anymore . I wonder if he practiced it more after 4CC?
That's why I feel like Shoma is so lucky. Because Yuzuru is his teammate, Japan's pressure is not on him. Shoma's one of the few skaters who don't have to worry about spots because no matter what, Yuzuru's probably gonna podium. He also has someone to chase. Shoma's stated several times that Yuzuru is a huge motivation to him.
Javi too. It's crazy how Javi can be a 2x world champion and still not have to deal with the pressure.

Woven in with four soaring quad jumps were his intricate footwork, sublime spins and inventive choreography - skills that set him apart from the chasing pack.
This is something that will always boggle my mind. I understand why it happens but still LOL
But Javi had a big chance here and mayyyybe if he had just been a little bit more on, he would have done it. The judges really wanted to reward him this competition.
What ... is this sorcery? Someone actually wrote this? Am I dreaming?![]()

Or maybe I'm just laughing because I'm in such a good mood today.
I think he had pressure today because he was leading in the short (and by THAT much!). Seems like pressure is still something he needs to get used to
I guess, come from a small skating country where there is absolutely no competition at nationals, and then be a male skater in Europe where there is basically no competition, and bomb the GPF = somehow people don't view you as a real contender for gold every timeBut Javi had a big chance here and mayyyybe if he had just been a little bit more on, he would have done it. Yes, I said too before the FP that this time would be the one that he would feel the presure. He had it but once Yuzuru threw it down half of it went off because he was again the 'underdog', assuming that he knew the results before skating of course. Because once Yuzuru gave a WR, many thought that his win was settled in perception, even though mathematically it wasn't. But one can still say that the pressure was full on because he was still the leader. So it can go both ways.
Looks to me like the audience "Judge" rating in the Worlds app determined who was invited to the gala. I suspected that would be the case, so I was super diligent about voting! Misha and Jason both earned 4.7 flowers but Patrick only got 4.4.

He was so far ahead from the short that he only needed 212, which was perfectly doable since they gave Shoma 215 for that performance. I think he was still the favorite. I certainly didn't think Yuzu's win was set in stone when Javi first took the ice, cuz I remember in my head I was like "Another silver isn't so bad, especially with that performance."
Yes, mathematically it wasn't, I didn't too. But a WR winning silver would be hard to swallow yes, SP exists, but y'all get it, even though it's perfectly possible. Many already thought that it was enough for Gold.
