I guess if they interview Mishin today, his words might have changed :rolleye: and maybe he would say Boyang was robbed :p

Oh by the way, if some of you ar Mishin's fans. When it was Yagudin vs Plushenko in 2001-2002 era, Mishin said Tat and Yags hired someone among the audience to hypnotise Plushenko and made him fall, thus Yagudin won.

So... don't take all of his words seriously ok? ;)

oh.. so Yuzu's Spanish warlock story is not that creative then. what a disappointment. :D

I can't lie, he would not be alone with that opinion...:slink:

Didn't he also say that women skaters were weak or something? Bye

Same, please :thank:

I think I remember him being mentioned in this thread as having had a much better senior debut season than Yuzu (which Yuzu was envious about) but then the next season he pretty much disappeared whereas Yuzu flourished. But that's all I remember being mentioned here.

:hijacked:

By the way, does anyone knowledgeable in tech wants to fill out the section on "Skating Techniques" in Yuzuru's wikipedia page? It seems a bit bare compared to some... other... skaters...

And we now have an actual NTY article to cite as source now, among other things

Heheh please do! I suggested making a separate section for this last time and it was accepted (was originally at the beginning of the page), but everytime I tried to edit the contents itself, some irritating wiki perfectionist will reject and edit it back.

Reading Narcissa's account of things reminded me of something; are there any FS warmup fancams that I may have missed?

You're right, I remember reading him saying (when he retired) that he didn't want to have to keep up with Yuzuru Hanyu anymore? I didn't find that a dig rather than acknowledging how much better Yuzuru was

Will it become off topic if I ask you to expand on this?

Probably not, as after he retired, which was relatively recently, Gachinski was eh about Yuzuru too. After he retired, there was that large interview where IIRC Patrick's skating was beautiful and Yuzuru was an athlete. I think he definitely felt the pressure from Yuzuru because he also spoke that the others shouldn't pay attention to what Yuzuru is doing.

Well Gachinski had that unfortunate title of Plushy 2.0 thrust upon him and then, it really didn't turn out well (that's OT for here; pressure, RusFed, Kovtun, this uh oh relationship with skater Katerina Gerboldt). Mishin always thought Gachinski never showed his true talent and was complimentary towards him, talking about his 4T, 4S and 4Lo and 4Lz in practice even though Gachinski actually dumped him and went to TAT at one point because in his words, he stopped being able to compete. Around October last year Mishin said that 4Lo is nothing special, how Gachinski was doing that one years ago (and how Nathan's 4Lz and 4F are worth more). I really think Mishin is hung up on what might have been and Yuzuru's sort of the personification of that (that is just my personal take on why this is all happening). Honestly, he should think more about the why of Gachinski's problems and how his current skaters are doing and how to help them but well.

 The tone was not complimentary.

LOL on Mishin. Can he say such things with a straight face? If yes he should be a professional poker player :laugh2:

Also it seems that whoever wrote the spanish article was reading some FS stories for ideas

A have a theory that Kikuchi- san is just for misleading everyone, the true warlock is Pooh-san  :rofl2:

Speaking of Wikipedia, my favorite part is now reading this in his introduction:

He is the 2014 Olympic champion, a two-time World champion (2014, 2017)...

So that's why Pooh-san is so precious:think:
