2017-2018 Programs by Discipline

So has he specified which tracks he is using from Seimei? Or do we have to wait to find out?
That's what the news is saying, it will be like a revamped program, certainly some new choreography and music cuts.

Wait. We only know from our initial info, that was correct that it was Seimei, that there's some alteration to the music cuts too, so I think that's correct then as well. And as Ender pointed out, there are actually 2 soundtracks, so who knows.

Plus this is a 5 quads program, 3 in the second half. The old Seimei does not fit, we'll see something at least partially new.

Personally I'm fine as long as he's comfortable and this program is an Olympics program. It was magical, so as he's a better skater now, knock on wood, hopefully we get to see something really brilliant. Shae did great on the first, no reason she won't on this one.

tbh, if he's going to repeat a program, seimei is the best, i'd rather it over POTO any day... it's dramatic and audience-engaging... he knows he can skate it clean

I adored Seimei - so I'm happy about it. :) (Chopin on the other hand, honestly, I could have done without. I don't dislike it, but I don't care for it either. Oh, well... ) If he were to repeat anything, this is what I would have wished for.

Yup. ;) seimei is by far the program of his that has pleased me the most.

Yay Semei! ❤️

I agree 100%. I'd rather he do Seimei and a new SP, but he's had so much success with both you can't really blame him. Seimei is far preferable to an overused warhorse, so I'm not going to complain. Looking forward to seeing the revamped version.

YASSSSS!!!!!! I'm so excited for him to do Seimei again!!!! That's totally PERFECT for this season!!!! :hap93::gclap::clapper::clapper::yahoo:

TWO repeats for the two time world champion, record breaker, reigning Olympic gold medalist, arguably the athlete who has pushed the sport forward most in the past four years...as a huge fan I am BEYOND disappointed. I don't care how much "reworking" is done, this is ridiculous and I expected so much more.

I think that's why most of us are the armchair judges who don't have the mind set of athlete.

I recalled either Brian Orser or Yuzuru who said Olympic Season is not the season to try new things but to stabilized everything you've done during the 4 years. If you want to push the sport try new things, do it during the 4 years, but I guess in some people opinion even if he has pushed the sport in the past four years, it still doesn't matter.

i mean, he's hardly playing it too safe by doing a Japanese program in Korea, and 5 quads, 3 of which are in the 2nd half with 2 3A's...

Totally. TBH, given the complicated history between Japan and Korea, I'm really surprised that Satoko is doing two Japanese-themed programmes (though you could argue that Madame Butterfly is Japonisme, not Japanese).

Boyang scrap the new sp and bring Spiderman back! Now there's still time to add and tweak choreography and transitions!:hap10:

I'm happy with Yuzu doing Seimei again. That program was way to good to only be performed 1 season. :)

Really? Where did u get that news? Can i ask a link, please?

it was a suggestion, since we see so many program repeats ;)

Btw as I assume you're not a native English speaker: if it were news I'd have said: Boyang scraped the new sp and will bring Spiderman back. But it was just a suggestion, therefore I said: Boyang scrap the new sp and bring Spiderman back!:hap10:
