2017 JGP Latvia Ladies FS

Not so great an outing... think it is a transition year for her and she will get better as she gets used to herself. I didn't like the music either....

yah yah, spins and steps first. we all know what is coming. Tanomania!!!!

lmao that beginning choreo cracked me up.

It is so Eteri right? I had to look it up and then goes.. yep I am right! Oh there 4x Rippons one after another after half way mark for extra COP crunching.

Alisa grew up so fast!

watching Panenkova makes me miss the drama and emotion that Sakhanovich brings in programs

i have been wondering for a long time why i dislike rippons and tanos... now i know : it makes it look like the skaters are puppets and someone is pulling their arms up with strings when they jump ;)

Can Kihira win this? But she's too far behind in the SP so maybe silver.

There is no way Rika can win this unless Dasha bombs, imo. Especially not with the fall and then the re-adjusting of the jumps...

Panenkova should win this based off the SP, but OMG, this was such a boring program, and those rippon jumps didn't look particularly stable.

Not quite clean with pop and fall. She had a cushion after the SP, so could still take gold

FS: 65.49+55.66-2.00 = 119.15, 185.80, 1/34

So all the skating done first, then finish with jumps?? So eteri. I am over that concept now..... but she has some lovely jumps.

Not in the same class as Trusova & Taranakova for me at all...those are programs I will rewatch. Couldn't wait for this one to end.

That is... an interesting program. This has been a group of unfortunate skates, minus Rika, of course. I'm on pins and needles for Emmy though. If she does well, that's enough for me.

Edit: Man, she looks far more heartbroken than I'd expect over that skate. She's still won.

Rika wins, kinda expected that actually.
edit: nvm, 2nd in fs, lol. uh, underwhelming results...
