Yep. I also like he's grown as a performer. Much better feel for the music than a couple of years ago IMO.

Nice performance by Han Yan, but the jump sections felt super empty, just skating from jump to jump with nothing in between. Good that he added some choreo / inter afterwards but meh. Still, better than what he's managed to do in a long time.

Han Yan

Strong 3A+3T to start. Great 4T to follow. Alright 3A, a bit scratchy. Not the best spinner but it gets the job done. Smoothly landed 3Lz. Alright 3Lo with good height. Nice 3Lz+2T+2Lo with a slight touch down. And another 3Lo with a touch down (repeated jump). 3F might be two-footed. He'll lose a few points here with the loss of a combo, I believe.

I think that the choice of the blues music somewhat overwhelms Yan, particularly when the singer goes into a piercing wail. There's a lot of raspy feeling in her voice, so when it goes unemphasized with Yan's face somewhat flat, it's noticeable. But other than that, this was a good technical performance for him, despite only one quad.
