2017 GP Internationaux de France Ladies SP

62.46 is way too high.
No combo, a fall and a step-out.
She should be behind Meite.

She had a combo, a very diffcult combo that is 3F-3Lo. She stepped out on it though. I think her 3Lz and 3Lo were both URed?

Too much clutter in Alina's program. Makes it feel too rushed...Oh dear, they don't look too happy in the dentist's office.
It's become worse, unfortunately. My favorite by hers is the SP in practice from before the season started. Since then I've sort of become confused about why exactly I liked the program back then...

I think it's hasty and rushed, definitely. I just don't feel a whole lot of connection to the music at all.

I really like Liza's dress, but the boots really look like they have seen better days :slink:

Eteri face is scary when her skater doesn't perform, she looks like that she want to ... whatever. It's sad, that Eteri and the coach boy just want good score and only first place. Alina is a great skater, it was just a bad day for her. They could have comfort her instead of having hard face.

Eteri's not the coach you go to if you need to be comforted and coddled...that's not what she's about.

Looking forward to Laurine - there is something so likable and genuine about her. Wish France has 2 spots.

With Yuna and Alina going back to back, I don't understand why Alina got better components with that performance. Yes, Alina had more transitions by a lot but that was about it. I found that compared to Yuna, Alina's hunching and lack of flow were really obvious. Also she really seems just be going trough the movements. In terms of interpretation she is not too bad for 15-year old, but I found Yuna far superior.

For some reason I thought Zagitova would really shine here after learning of Medvedeva's recent struggles... I guess maybe it had the opposite effect. :confused2:

I'd be willing to put it down to nerves, but I had the same problem with Yulia's and Evgenia's programs under this choreographer

I never understand why some people are so ready to give an Olys medal to a junior before we have seen them compete in senior competions. There are practically no audience in juniors.

She already won one GP in senior, and she has highest BV, so...
