2017-2018 Japanese Nationals Men FS

Argh, that second half......:sad21: Stamina problems?

Anyway, Congratulations Shoma on your second National Title!

All these quad attempts have really made programs quite craptastic. :sarcasm:

I want Hanyu back doing nothing higher than a 4Lo. Or if need be, his old layout with "just" 3 quads and 2 3As.

Such high hopes for you Shoma. I need you to be clean at the Olympics.

It's interesting how muted the applause for Shoma is before and after his skate. Do they not like him over there?

But also A HUGE CONGRATS FOR KAZUKI FOR BEING IN 4TH PLACE!!!!!!!!!

Congrats Shoma on your second title! And to Keiji for getting his ticket to the Olympics!

Congratulations to Shoma, Keiji and Mura!!!
Great job by ALL the Men!

Shouma said he felt he couldn't answer people's expectations for him and his own expectations for himself. And he's sorry for that.

Daichan said he looked more exhausted than usual and Shouma agreed, thinking that he has a lot more to practice and improve.

His reaction to winning and getting the Olympic slot is he's sorry for not performing better.

Shona wasn't clean at nationals last year either. Then he added his 4Lo at 4CC and had his superb skate at Worlds. I have faith he will nail this program in the end.

Tanaka did it? This is one nationals where the 2nd place garners more interest.

Shoma can pop his quads or fall etc he'll still win. The 3rd Japanese men slot to OG is more interesting

Oh honey...he shouldn't be so hard on himself - he won at a decent margin and I think he might be injured? Either way, I hope he doesn't beat himself up too much. He did good.

Also for Mura's interview: he's felt good about his performance and looking back on all of his Nats this one he said is the one where he felt he really gave his all, and the Nats that'll stay in his memory
