2018 US Championships Sr Men FS

Looks like he deliberately singled that axel, no point risking injury when you already have 5 quads in the bag,

Ohhhh Jason :( That teary smile is breaking my heart.

Ross looks shellshocked and still not entirely sure where he is. Also, at least to me, he looked sad for Jason as well.

Sidenote - Chen's music first change in music just makes me think of the dinosaur sequence in Fantasia.

I thought "Jaws"...

I have to say... watching Chen after Rippon and Brown is quite boring. Great jumping and skating skills, but there's no choreography. The first part of his music is too mature for him; it would suit Leonova more. It just reminds me how young he is.

Rippon in particular has such a lovely program. A shame about the jumps.

Nathan!!!! I think Adam and Jason bombing took the pressure off him? Just throw those quads out there, ain't no thing any more. Honestly forgot about the popped axel by the end of it.

Nathan's PCS for this program is ridiculous. at least the tech score is accurate, but 95 for PCS according to fancy tracker

Ross looks shocked.

I hope the selection cmt will choose Nathan, Ross and Adam. IMO Vincent's UR 4 quads are a disqualifier. I wish the ISU would limit the number of quads in the short to one and two or three in the FS. Too many sloppy landings, falls, and lost energy at the end of programs so that the quality of the skating and spins are degraded.

Nathan seemed quite cautious tonight (is it even possible to say that about a 5-quad program, though?!).
