I was in California for only 5 days. The weather was awesome, and it felt great to go without a coat. But back to reality now after enjoying a wonderful U.S. Nationals. I pretty much disappeared off of the Forum because I couldn't stand what people were writing! (mostly in the competition threads)...We're having a heat wave (?) here now -1C, but it's going back to -17C soon. Darn. It would have been good weather for the Prince...The Kit Kat counter is down to 8. I guess I should save them for the Olympics!

A heat wave is -1C?? [emoji33] Are you sure you're not in Russia or Canada? I'm glad I'm in constant 70-90F or 20-35 C weather. Glad you got to enjoy US Nationals! Looked like a really fun and supportive crowd, too. The comments may have been less than supportive, but... Oh well. Same old, same old. [emoji6]

You'll have to make the Kitkats last until he returns to Chicago in the summer! [emoji13] Keep warm!

Just scanned social media, there's really no news that I could see. I'm still amazed by how good he and his team are at disappearing. You'd think with the Japanese media following his every move, he'd have a hard time hiding, but then they pull off these ninja moves (one moment, full spotlight, then poof!- gone the next). It's great that they can do that, though, even if it sucks for us.
 
Well, if our Prince is here, I sure don't know where the heck he is. He could be in hiding! I went to two rinks today, and he was at neither one. Alex was at the one rink, and he wasn't with him. Time for a new game -- Where in the World is Shoma Kun? I'd start hunting for him, except that if you look at this list of rinks that are in my area, I honestly wouldn't know where to begin! http://twinrinks.com/rink_finder.htm Hopefully he's practicing, resting, and eating a side of beef a day plus his veggies.
 
Maybe Sho is in Canada. Didn't he go there in the past for training? Or he could be having his
programs tweaked before 4CC and the Olympics.

Here's the Oricon article that idontknow mentioned a few pages back, with Shoma ranking #1 in the 2018 list of " new adults expected to do well " (it was translated "new adult expectation"). Google translate isn't great on it, but it's mostly comprehensible.

Also, love that picture of Han Cong (that's him, right?) and Yuzuru messing with Shoma at the same time. Some people say we're annoying fans because we coo over Shoma and say he's cute, but if the other skaters who interact with him personally do the same, how can we help it? He obviously really is cute [emoji16]. The evidence of the cute/handsome appeal is abundant- the Shibutanis fist bumping him, Yuzuru pinching his cheeks and messing with his hair on multiple occasions, Keiji babying him, Miki Ando also pinching his cheeks, Misha Ge taking his hand and having him wave to the crowd in 4CC, Stephane Lambiel and Johnny Weir sandwiching him between them, Javi touching his face, Jason massaging his back, Daisuke Murakami hugging him after his wonderful skate in Japan Open 2015 and lifting him off the floor, etc. He's a young man now (hello, new face!), but I hope that his interactions with the other skaters don't change all that much.

Yes, that's Han Cong. I'm sometimes annoyed at myself for saying how cute he is all the time! :laugh: But I can't help it. Just look at Nolangoh's picture! And like you said a lot of the skaters act the same towards him. He really seems to be beautiful person inside too. I doubt that the other skaters would like him that much if he weren't! Besides, it's the pre-competition blackout. What else is there to talk about? :scratch2: :dance2:

So true! I still can't remember why I patted him on the head! :scratch3: He was just so irresistible and so nice! Seems like many feel the same way! I love these photos of him with Jason. Jason is so good for him and brings out the fun side of him...I was trying to find the Muscles Shomita-Hairless Cat photo of him from an ice show where he's wearing a black (leather?) vest and white pants. I think it was from last summer.

oH!! My favorites too! in fact i think it was violin sonata that made me a complete fan. I have other favorites too, but I remember i loved his ex that year as well. was it called blessed spirits? and then don juan. that was another good year. I wish I could watch this show.
