This is one of the rare moments that judges really went with S/B's sit twizzles. I remember people where debating for them to ditch it and go with the traditional since judges wans't rewarding it. I am glad they stuck with it.

Charlie White seems to like them too which is good and i think it was Tanith Belbin who argued that their innovation should be rewarded too.

The Russians just cannot seem to stop adding stuff be it miming or sound effects or extra vocals instead of just letting the program speak for itself. It is like the dress designer who keeps adding baubles or sequins or the cook who keeps adding extra flavors until the original creation is muddled. It is as if they know something is missing and are adding extras to fix or hide the deficiency.

It is more evident when you see P/C skate without miming, sound effects, or vocals. Just a sublime, elegant skate full of subtleties and beauty. A masterpiece.

I was captivated much more here than at GPF but I do wonder whether it's because they skated it better here, minor modification or due to the longer exposure to this program. Or some combination of all of it. Or due to the Moon transit combined with fine Venus conjunction over my astrological 1st house
