2018 Olympic Figure Skating Team Event Day 1

Love T/M's skating skills, twist, and jumps, but I don't care for them being reward like the top two teams in the world. I don't think their programs and interpretation compare. :slink:

To my fellow NBC viewers. Did anyone know it's the 20th anniversary of Tara's win? Did anyone hear about this? It seems like this is something we'd all like to hear about a few dozen times? So yes, I will confirm, this is indeed the 20th anniversary of Tara's win. You're welcome.

Wether the US could take advantage and go for Silver is probably up to
how awesome of a SP can Bradie actually skate

If she's like 6th it'll be gone

Did you hear that Nathan Chen fell and had a disappointing performance too?

Depending how Bradie and Shibs do, the U.S. has some interesting decisions to make....

I totally love the Russian supporters. That was a fine performance indeed.
Now I'm gonna watch what I've missed (or maybe I shouldn't...). Then getting ready for work. Soooo NOT in the mood. Cheers guys, this was our Olympics warm up. :hap10:

So basically by being consistent (i.e. mediocre) in both events we ended up in 2nd. :laugh2: Sounds about right for the Trump era. USA! USA!

I just realised the Knierims did well. Wow, I'm genuinely pleased for them. I like them a lot.

I predict a second place for Russians, Kolyada falls was critical...and this without Ice dance, Canada has huge advantage in this.

Misha Misha....

Despite some of the hot messes I witnessed tonight I can wake up in the morning and look myself in the mirror knowing that I didn't listen to Johnny and Tara :dev2:

I feel like Canada is almost a sure thing for the Gold medal now. Can't be sure because anything can happen but at least in the short:

17+10(Dance)+9/8/7(woman's-Katelyn is generally great in the short)= 36/35/34

OAR

13+10(ladies-if Medvedeva almost certainly-if Alina no guarantee) +6/7/8 (Dance)=31/30/29

USA

14+9(dance-because almost any US team will be 2nd now that the French are out)+ 5/6/7(ladies)=30/29/28

I can't possibly imagine the Shibs being lower than 3rd (Wait.. Are P\C in this?)

But i can possibly imagine the Russians ending up behind the Italians (Probably not though)
