2018 Olympic Figure Skating Team Event Day 2

Evgenia Medvedeva

Good flying spin to open, and a solid amount of footwork. Great tano (EDIT: 3F, not 3Lz)+rippon 3T. Beauitful 3Lo and a tano 2A. And a strong pair of ending spins with nice centering. A wonderfully performance on a technical level. I didn't feel the performance as much as I usually do, but she'll get 1st place no matter what. She's in a class of her own (with Zagitova).

Evgenia is amazing. I hope she wins gold.

ETA: I would be equally happy if Kaetlyn wins gold because I love them both equally, but obviously Evgenia has the edge in consistency. I’m really hoping that Kaetlyn makes the podium though.

That's the WR? For some reason I thought she'd already scored higher at worlds or something, lol. Shows how much I pay attention.

Evgenia had a wobble before her first jump combo. And her 3T looks more forced than usual like it's closer to toe-axel technique now. But she should definitely be first.

Well, it's way improved on her 2016 technique. It was best in 2017, but she's regressed. I suspect she's grown a bit and that's what's happened.

I have to say that a break and Alina made Evgenia's skating MUCH better. It seems to be more real to me. It was beautiful!

3F-3T is the combo she does in the short. Evgenia only does one lutz, in the FS.

Bradie reminds me of Sarah Hughes, a good skater but not memorable and not someone that I'll go binge-watch on Youtube.

Sarah's OGM skate is one of my very favorite skates by anybody ever. I watch it on Youtube all the time.

Commentator Lane has gall talking about Carolina not walking away from the sport and not wanting other skaters to walk away early when she (Lane) has been responsible for so many dancers at the "Lane" school leaving with such distaste for the sport, due to Lane herself!!!!! Fortunately for Carolina, she stayed in the sport because she had caring, supportive coaches that encouraged her to stay and helped her fight back from discouragement as opposed to contributing to it!
please, which stream are you watching :)?
