S/H...well silver is not that bad...but surely gold is better...well she went through surgery on both her feet so congr...but damn I just can't! I'M DEVASTATING!

Anyone know where you can watch victory ceremony? or for that matter, medal ceremony for team event- i searched on nbc olympics to watch the medal ceremony for the team event but it's not there. Figure skating is like the only sport not there. I want to see both the victory ceremony as well as medal ceremony!

I think on the olympic channel they have been showing all medal ceremonies early morning since there is a "Medal Ceremony" tv show on the olympic channel. But they just started it - they did not show team event medal ceremony on nbc even nor on the olympic channel (they just showed a trucuated version with the canadian anthem but did not show the US athletes getting their medals). Where can I see that?

S/M created an Olympic moment tonight that will forever be remembered (by me at least). I will go as far as to say it is the best winning OGM FS since Berezhnaya/Sikharulidze's FS in 2002 Salt Lake City.

Not surprising because 2018 LP by Aliona and Bruno is the closest to the ideal skate the COP aims for. Based on Berezhnaya and Sikharulidze's LP from 2002
And you're totally right, this is also and BY FAR the best olympic LP since Meditations in SLC.

Savchenko is a living legend, now with a gold medal.
And that FS... so beautiful, that's what I call a program, it has concept, it has choreography, it has depth, rhythm, it has emotion!! And today it was executed to perfection.

Empress and her spring onion aaah they were so close. To think one spin level...

I'm very happy for Aljona, her determination is formidable, this performance was excellent, but they're not the better pair team imo.

But alas, the best rarely win.

But this was an outstanding pair comp.

Sui/Han 2022. Wishing for continued health and success.

What an awesome podium. S/M were captivating tonight, with amazing quality on every element. Aliona was already part of one of the best pairs ever with Robin, imo, but now she's a legend.

I'm heartbroken for S/H. It must be devastating to have come soooo close. Less than half a point! They should be super proud of their strong performances and medal here though, considering her injuries and how much they've grown as skaters. Afterall, even Shen & Zhao only won bronze on their second Olympics.

Lovely interpretation by D/R tonight! That quad was gutsy as hell. I'm glad they moved up to bronze.

But omg, i just had tears in my eyes when I realized Aliona had fulfilled her dream. And Meagan and Eric!! This was my dream podium before the Olympics and after yesterday I didn't believe it could be possible.

I admire them both and Bruno is a great partner for Aljona, they just work together and that's something you need. That being said, he is a lucky guy to have gotten such a partner or he would probably not be stepping onto any step of this podium. Then again, without Bruno, probably neither would Aljona.

So impressed with all the skating in the pairs - simply wow. But to see Tarasova in tears like that really hit home about the olympics. It is nice to see Aliona get her dream even though I admit I had good reason to cheer for the Chinese, OAR or Canadians. But there are only three podium spots. I think differently but I hope for some extra favour now for the Russians oops OAR (T and M) and Ksenia and Fedor. Nothing against other people's favorites but these five teams (four at the olympics ) are on a body of work at least superior. In the end the four top teams were the four top teams. The order could have changed. They need a pewter. there is great joy to see Aliona get her gold and such sadness for Sui and Han and the OAR. All are very good skaters. Aliona got her moment with a great skate and gold - she got it all. It shows how great planning and strategy can get you gold. No one other than die hards will look at how it appears they were held up in the sp; and at the very least should have been in the second to last group.

I think Duhamel and Radford despite not being p erfect had a spark and good for them. They don't have to be the standard pairs team. But it was the Germans night (or Bruno who deserves much credit and Aliona -it is hard to say they fully represent Germany.)

Bruno is an OGM, Robin is not. lmao. Anyways, does anyone know if S/M will both retire now? Bruno has already mentioned he was already considering it(prob because of his back), and aliona is probably uninterested in more world titles now that she's got the ogm...
And Russian pairs skating. Hoo, boy. Everyone who gave candyman the green light needs to be sacked. I hope my favorite juniors Pavliuchenko/Khodykin step up.(yes, i realize they're super young)

Royal podium, no joke. All friggin' Queens/Divas/Empresses, so moved...I think that now Wenjing and Cong can feel the loss, especially by such small margin, but I have no doubt it will fuel them twice harder going forward after all emotions will cool down a bit.

My heart warms for Aljona and Bruno, but lits with full fire for Meagan and Eric. This is the best FS response to perfection served by Germans I have ever saw. And Meagan is one hell of a BEAST, no one feeds that hard on competition adrenaline, this 4Sth goes down into Olympic history. Both them and Germans showed today that a team is as strong as its weakest link - and today it was none of that. What a level. I am speechless.
