Oh ((Nathan)).You break my heart kiddo. Nothing to lose now. I hope your Olympics ends with a lights out redemption free skate. <3
Well, apart from Adam and some other skaters I heart this Men's event has lost it's luster for me. I wish I could stop thinking about that sweet little boy saying he was going to the 20 18 Olympics 'I think'.
My heart has been broken like this before. Christopher Bowman, Kurt Browning, other great ones who often skated great but when it came to the Olympics they could just not reach that podium. I feel for Nathan so. All of those major endorsements, the Vera Wang costumes, the hair cut, all that hype. Other teen sensations could handle it but obviously Nathan could not. It's so strange though. He has such a calm demeanor.
I hope Nathan has a Mao Asada moment in the FS. I'll console myself a little with the fact that Nathan is an Olympic medallist. At least he won't go home with nothing but sad memories.
I think for Nathan it was a combo of pressure and injury. I think there is more to the injury than is let on.

Wow! Wonderful job! Yuzuru, Javier, and Shoma. This was my pick for the podium but who knows what will happen in the long.
I don't know why NBC hypes some of these stories - many viewers don't demand it - they just want to see the competition - same thing for Mikaela Sheferd today - they hyped her up and she was vomiting before her race from nerves. No one I suppose was under more pressure than Hanyu so you have to give him props for that. But for skaters that may lack experience or the maturity to deal with it it's really a shame.
Carolina Kostler did this in Torino- and she came back strong. That's the comfort I hope Nathan finds.
