2018 Olympic Figure Skating Mens FS

They meant Denis Ten. He posted what seemed like a retirement message on instagram, but then said in an interview that he wasn't retiring.

Ohhhh! Thank you! I walked in and just heard Denis and went wut! Priorities I guess. And thank you, good that he's staying. Hopefully injuries give him a break!

Wow, Deniss had such a hard fall and then he had to jump right back up and move fast because his music tempo changed. He handled it well.

Deniss can dance his socks off and this program is far too uninspired for his talent. I hope Stephane can get him some better material next quad.

My sister minored in Russian studies, she said it's not really that hard. At least it only has a couple dozen new symbols that mostly correspond to the Roman alphabet to learn and not thousands of kanji

I'm getting the alphabet okay, but I don't really have any vocabulary. I can just recognize names and pronounce them properly.

ETA: the hardest ones are the letters that look the same as in English, but are pronounced very differently. And the hard and soft signs - still have no idea about that

Well, if you didn't know that Lambiel was his coach already, you'd know it by the shocking speed and centredness of that last sit spin.

Sorry people.
I love Bublé.
I love this music.
Sorry not sorry I’m not as sophisticated as y’all:dev2:
And very sorry Deniss did not have a better outing. But he is a ray of sunshine, a spinning marvel, and can only improve:clap:

Deniss Vasiljevs

Much better 3A+3T than the underrotated one he got in the short. Tough fall on the second 2A. Solid 3S, though, good comeback! Smooth edgework through the step sequence into a decent camel spin. Nice spread eagles into a good 3Lo. Solid 3Lz+2T+2Lo but a hard fall on a 2A. Okay 3F+2T (might be < on the 3F). Stronger 3Lz and good attack in the choreo sequence. And a wonderful pair of spins to end the program, especially that last sit spin.

Sad that he had such trouble on the Axels today with 2 hard falls. But his triples were mainly clean and smooth, and his edgework throughout the program and the lean he has in his body to really dig deep into the ice is so pleasing. I think he could have been jazzier to match the Buble music, but he's still young and should have a great future.
