2018 Olympic Figure Skating Mens FS

So is figure skating in the SynchroHouse!

Well i have dealt with domestics involving some pretty interesting situations. Hopefully not involving synchrohouse or involving animals. Happy Chinese/Lunar New Year! Remember it is bad luck to clean your house today. It gets rid of the good luck of the new year.

Thank you my friends for teaching me about kimono ties (I really had no idea, :palmf:)

and thank you Twitter for bringing Uncle Dick’s commentary back, ain’t modern life grand?

Boyfriend: Is Chen depressed after his performance?
Me: ... right, you didn’t actually see it.

How do I even begin to answer that.

? Do you mean hung out after their split? I highly doubt it; they live in different countries and Yuna felt betrayed that he was coaching the Japanese (??) I’m still so confused what exactly happened there

That's not what happened.

And @OP--I don't think they've met but past run-ins have been cordial/friendly. It's all water under the bridge now.

Every day is the first day of a new year for me.

Alexei Bychenko

Strong 4T+3T to open. Another solid 4T, no holds barred. And a solid 3A to boot into an alright spin. Fairly aggressive steps in the sequence but not a lot of relation to the music. Good height in the first 3A. Only a 2A+2T on the second intended 3A. Good run-out on the 3Lz, but took some time to find the center of the flying camel spin. Nice 3F+1Lo+3S and 2A. Edges in the choreographic sequence are a bit flat but a decent combo spin to finish.

Glad to see Bychenko have a clean skate despite the pop on the 3A. Apart from that hitch, he had wonderful take-offs and secure landings on all his jumps. His spins and footwork could have more speed overall and he could have taken more time to address the music, with such a dramatic selection as Vesti La Giubba. But I think that this skate is a great way to cap off his career if he chooses to retire. Great job, Bychenko!

Alexei is so impressive. He's much more consistent as well as artistic now than he was when he was younger.

Kurt Browning: Look at the way he looks over his shoulder when he jumps. Everyone has their own way of getting through life.

Really, they should collect these little gems and publish them.
