Hi! I’ve been reading this thread for a while but I’ve never actually commented before. I’m here to congratulate Mai for her SILVER medal!!! Her FS is absolutely breathtaking!

welcome to her fan fest, hope you will post more often!! she is breathtaking indeed

dont worry! she is scheduled to compete at Coupe de Printemps in March!!

congratulations Mai for 2 amazing performances and proving how great competitior you are, she was having troubles during practices but she managed to leave them behind, i guess having your best friend next to you has its perks  but i am sure even without Kaori she would deliver cause thats what she has been doing since last season (70+ TES at 9 competitons out of 10!, gonna ignore SP curse cause i want to ) her season isnt over yet but i am already excited for next season, she said she wants to be able to skate to any kind of music and thats why she didnt change her SP and i love that approach even though it sometimes works against her!

oh yes it's true there will be Yuna Shiraiwa and Kaori Sakamoto too, so I'm happy for her it would be sad to see her any more. She has a good personality i appreciate skaters trying new things

Beautiful performance by Mai in the free skate today... I think she was pretty unlucky not to take the gold medal, but it's still a great result, and I hope it will build her confidence.

Posted this already in Kaori's fanfest, but it should be here too, because their friendship is just so adorable...

Mai’s performance was excellent today. She said it was hard mentally to prepare for this competition, so I’m extremely happy that she gave it her all and took the silver! :cheer2:

She really deserved the silver. She tried so hard, her eyes told me like that. Having both skating cleaned is great. Sadly she won't go to Olympics or 4cc, but luckily she will go to the Coupe du Printemps in March. Go Mai!

Mai skated like a different, much more grown-up and refined skater. I honestly believe it's the bangs. This competition was the first time ever that I enjoyed her performance. I enjoyed both the SP and the FS. :luv17:

I love Mai. She amazed us all with her 3Z-3T-2T-2L in her ex. And she looks so lovely on the ice! She just flowed. I'm really happy for her. It's great that she'll be competing in Compe du Printemps.

She is the most unfortunate skater this season. Robbed of Bronze at the Grand Prix, robbed gold at the 4CC and im sure there are more i missed.....

Congratulations to the 2nd place, well deserved. That should give her more energy after the Japanese nationals. She looks much more mature and graceful than last year at the Worlds.

Mai wanted to go in Korea to support Kaori and team Japan, but she can't go due to the cold weather for her arthrisis.
I'm really sad for her :sad4::sad4:
(Saw this on Twitter, can't find it)

Then how would she have been able to go if she qualified for the Olympics?

Olympian and spectators don't have the same treatment...
Athletes have a medical staff (It's obvious that team Japan have it own doctor, kine etc) to take care so they can be at the best for the competition

Mai-chan, Congratulations. 215 is a great score (though unofficial) and this is a wonderful way to end the season.
Thank you for everything. :points: Most of all, for not giving up.
