2018 Olympic Figure Skating Free Dance

Cool lifts, but the whole thing looks sloppy and blech to me. I would have them somewhere around last place. Shows that I really don't understand how difficulty is calculated in Ice Dance.

I ust need to vent a second:

My dog's really sick, he can barely get his hind legs up anymore. The vet thinks he has a bulging disc in his back but the imaging to confirm that is $1500 and if he needs surgery that's another $3500 so the vet suggested crate rest to see if it healed on its own. But he wasn't eating today and he's a VERY food motivated dog- it's one of the only things he would get up for this past month during his bad days and now he won't even eat popcorn (his favorite!) when we put it right in front of him. I finally got the idea to pick him up and take him outside and had to hold him up while he peed for like 20 seconds. He was outside several hours today and he couldn't even get up to pee :sad21:. After that he was interested in food again but I'm really thinking we're going to have to do the surgery

Alright, thanks for letting me vent.

In figure skating news, Piper and Paul's new program is 100% better. I'm glad they're so happy with their scores

I'm so sorry about your dog. I'll be keeping him and you in my thoughts and am hoping for his smooth recovery <3

It's on TSN 1. CBC is busy with women's ski half-pipe, which is fair because we just got the gold in it. I'm sure they'll have it in time for V/M.

I'm in Maine, and I'm about an hour away from part of the border, so I get CBC in my cable package. It has saved me many times when NBC skating coverage has lagged in the past during the GP and Worlds.

Coomes / Buckland

Nice lobing movements. Smooth transitions through the curve lift.Good speed carried through the circular step (Level 3). Nice changes in elevation through the rotational lift. A bit of a hitch from Coomes on the second set of twizzles but it looks fine on replay (Level 4). Interesting connection into the combo spin and nice position with the camel and upright with the headless variation. Cool swinging straight lift with a difficult balance point on one foot. Good curves through the diagonal step (Level 3) and an interesting choreo lift to end.

I actually liked their previous program better, but I don't mind this Muse program either. The connections and choreography were very intricate in the holds, but I think they need to improve on their connection and project energy into the audience particularly with a piece of music that's this intense. The movements, shapes, and complexity was what made the program more than their expression and intensity compared to the music selection.

So sorry [emoji22]

Ughhh, I'm so sorry. :( If it helps at all, I've been in that same boat. It's really insane how much anything at all related to the vet is insanely expensive. My dog accidentally ate a few raisins last year and that led to...an amount of $$$ that makes me sick :disapp:

On a skating note, the opening of C/B's program is reallyy gorgeous

My cat got depressed when I boarded him when I went out of town for 5 days, and I found out that he had barely eaten. Since cats deteriorate so fast, I didn't notice right away, but he destroyed his liver. After having a vet put feeding tube put in and hand pumping him for about a week, I was $3000 poorer and without a companion. :/
Never ignore your animals not eating!
