I think it’s more that Hanyu pulled an e.e. cummings on Chopin (“only i may type like this; the rest of you bastards learn to use the shift key”). Then again, I’m not a huge Chopin fan.

Kurt and co. have become my fav commentary team. They explain the scoring and technical side perfectly for casual fans and point out reasons why skaters get the scores they do that may not be obvious on tv, like how Emmi skates high speed into her jumps.

Kinda nice to watch figure skating without any dog in the race. Definitely not as stressful.

There seems to be a lot of repeat storylines of 1998 Nagano in these Olympics (USA women hockey team gold, two men bobsleigh tie for gold, second gold for ice dancers). If this redux holds, the 15 year old will win gold over her countrywoman who was the gold medal favourite.

Well Tarasova had polka-dot themed ones with her costume, which I thought was good attention to detail.

I think they meant like on the actual underside of the skirt itself, not the pants

Yes, I meant patterning or continuing with the rouching/ruffles instead of just a shell on the underside. I guess it would be impractical (especally if there are sparkles). It just seems a shame that when the underside is facing that it can cover some of the beautiful details of the top half in addition to not seeing the bottom of the the dress.
