The video isn't so clear, so I cannot tell whom is whom, but definitely, the girl at the furthest end of the room, who is between the taller boy with long hair and the girl in blue, is the most outstanding of all of them.

What is her name?

One easy way is to do the count to 8, the basis of most dance...5,6,7,8 begin...1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8...on and on and see if their movements are punctuated by changes at counts 4 and 8.

She manages to dance to a very difficult latin rhythm, her movements are very smooth in transition from one to another, eg. very difficult ones involving getting from the floor to up or hanging upside down, and if you listen to the timing of the instructor's calls, her movements are exactly matching what he instructed, very impressive, though I don't understand a word of Russian! :biggrin:

The furthest is Trusova, the girl in blue is Kostornaya, the third one is Scherbakova

Thank you! So Trusova is second from the far end, and Scherbakova is the one who quit the group before it's over?

Trusova did very well in this one, the little boy near the camera too.

Is Alina going to try a martial arts flavored piece next?

it doesn't mean anything, it's just their trainings, they're trying different styles to develop their skills and feeling of the music

Last Olympics Lipnitskaya also got a car and she was too young to drive it too. It seems to be a tradition in Russia. They get a car if they got a medal.

It’s nice to see them receiving such nice things for their hard work. At least their families can use them.

Can anyone knowledgeable tell me, is 230000 US dollars (Alina) and 175000 (Zhenya) considered very large amounts in Russia? I have read in the past that the average person in Russian earns 8000 USD a year. So to me the money both girls will receive is the equivalent of receiving a million dollars in my head! If it’s more or less please correct me!

Yes norminal is this correct (8800Usd)...but you can not compare this with canada for example. The living cost is much cheaper in russia than in canada. If you google purchasing power parity per capita. Russia=28000 dollar per year. So the amount of money that alina and zhenya will receive is very large. You can buy more with 230000 USD in Russia than in Canada.
