Okay, I'm out of the loop. Why is there a long tag of Shoma trending on Twitter? I have no objections of course, since there are all kinds of adorable pictures being posted. [emoji8][emoji1]

I'm definitely rooting for our Olympic Silver Medalist to win his first Worlds now that Yuzu is out. If Shoma does indeed win the gold, how high would his team mates have to place in order for Japan to retain three spots?

Since the total in placements has to be 13 or less, the scenarios with Shoma on podium are:
Shoma: 1 - Teammate: 12
Shoma: 2 - Teammate: 11
Shoma: 3 - Teammate: 10

And any variations in and out of podium to total 13 or less. It's doable in the depleted field, but Keiji is going to have to bring his 4CC game and not his Olys game to Worlds.

You all are always way ahead of me and have probably seen this already, but I just loved seeing this You Tube of Sho's Olympic FS with no talking and being able to hear the audience's reactions. Even with the camera getting in the way a few times, this was still great to see. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1sTPKi-phLQ

ETA -- Thank you very much dear posters! <3

Thanks a lot for this special fancam! The beauty, flow and musicality of Shoma´s skating is displayed there so well. It is very pleasant to watch this fancam because of great camera angle + the beautiful serene venue with violet color and no commercials on the rink boards. I love it!

I don't care if Dick Button, Kurt Browning, Plushenko, Elvis, etc. come to skate at Worlds. My choice for gold WAS and IS Shoma.

Maybe a response to all the uncalled for hate Shoma has been getting on social media lately.

Unfortunately, I am not surprised. It's because Toyota keeps throwing money at rinks for Shoma, isn't it? Let them buy that rink! What's a couple of million dollars? Let's also all buy cars to support Toyota supporting Shoma! (*goes off to a Subaru or Nissan dealership to buy a car* :laugh2:)

I'm so thankful for the adorable Uno-san tweets. Yes, he truly is adorable. :luv17:

These Toyota people look like they're having a great time congratulating him. And didn't someone write that the Toyota employees were served a meat dinner in honor of Shomachka? Hopefully it was yakiniku. My favorite Toyota photo is that one where he has that HUGE smile and his scrunched up nose. I will now trade in my Honda for a Toyota! :roll5:

Hi guys! I have a question for anyone who has been to any of the grand prix events - how much (roughly) have tickets been to past events? I finish my masters this year and I desperately want to treat myself when I'm done, and I'd love to do so by seeing some skating live, but money!!!! I will be a poor no-longer-student, so I want to know what level of bankruptcy I'm setting myself up for :')

I can't tell where you are located, so I don't know what events would be the ones you would go to. I'm just going from memory, but it seems that the All-Event Pass to Skate Amer 2016 was something like $135. That was the SP & FS for all 4 disciplines and gave you access to several practice sessions too. Skate Canada was similar. Seems like $150 for All-Event plus some practices. I was checking the prices on the Grand Prix final in Vancouver recently https://www1.ticketmaster.ca/isu-gr...ouver-british-columbia/event/1100542BBE9E6350 . Those prices are in Canadian dollars, so the range in U.S. is $135-$175. Elsewhere, not really sure! They usually put the all-event passes up for sale first, and then later they sell single tickets. If you're talking Europe, that I'm not sure.

I really hope they tell the assignments early this year. It was nice when they did that last year. At least they are telling us the cities way in advance! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2018–19_ISU_Grand_Prix_of_Figure_Skating

Thank you so much!! Ideally Europe would be easiest for me as I'm in the UK, but I am...somewhat willing to travel a little further, if I can save up the funds. Thankfully the prices are less terrifying than I'd anticipated! I'm assuming the European ones will be similar prices, but I'll just have to keep an eye out for ticket sales.

I hope so too! Fingers crossed :D
