The transitions - I consider them the best in the world when it comes to ladies, actually. It made me smirk when I believe at Russian junior nationals she got the highest PCS marks on transitions(usually they always are the lowest by far, for every skater) which is totally accurate.
She also has the best skating skills out of the juniors. I consider her the best all-around skater also - Her only weakness is the flutz. But even that's not that bad and it's a ! at worst.

Morgan can be proud of that skate. Should be a new PB anyway for her; a good time to have a PB! Although I don't think it'll be enough to qualify, it should improve on last year's 36th place.

Kostornaia was breathtaking! Such a lovely skater, she could easily be in seniors!

It's because Kostornaia *finishes* every transition. She doesn't hurry through the motion. If you rush through a motion, you can get away with it if you have a relatively open program. If you stuff it more, it begins to look sloppy like almost all of the Eteri programs. She should host weekly seminars to teach the other girls how to do it - if Eteri was in a generous mood maybe she can let some of the other international senior women that need help in
Why then Zagitova is getting L4 StSq and Kostornia L3? It's not hurrying the right word, Zagitova is just much faster doing it, but Kostornia is not... even that looks to you as 'finished' and better, technically is not that good cause its lacking speed level and ice coverage

Kostornaia has way deeper edges than Zagitova does....

yes I noticed her flutz. But she does difficult transitions (Walley jump) with speed and flow into the lutz and is young enough to correct it as she trains.
She is a crazy talent and happy to see her grow even better every time I see her.

My Dad always suggests this when I talk about the depth of the Russian ladies actually.
I think it would just be a nightmare logistically. Consider how long the junior singles SPs take. And all those practice session would make it hard even to do the juniors right before. It would be nice to see better turnout. If JR was in Canada and close to me, I'd try and go, but you're right, I probably wouldn't want to pay to travel too far.

Kostornaia really is technically very good when it comes to skating - much better than Zagitova. Really, take a look at the entry Kostornaia has to her Flip in the SP.

The level of the step or the speed of the sequence is irrelevant here. Zagitova's motions are sloppy and unfinished. She hurries through the motions in that she never completes a single one - and that is both inside and outside the step sequence. Kostornaia does not. There is no perfect skater, that includes Zagitova. Kostornaia has her flaws, I chose not to highlight them here because I was floored by such a fantastic junior performance. I could critique any skaters if I looked for it.
