Sotskova's SP is too high really barring something unimaginable to risk the three spots. If her under-rotations were correctly called in the SP, I'd say there was a risk, but not now.

Last season she scored 160 points at jr worlds and the fed's response was to increase her PCS by almost 10 points.

Not the same competition. Can't compare. Compare to the other russian girls, her PCS can deserve ten points more than at junior worlds. She grown too. I mean, when you see what they gave to their champion...

No way, I can’t stand Sotskova and even I think she’ll finish in the top 10 of this field. Alina is a lock for 1 or at very least 2. Russia’s spots have to be the absolute safest. Obviously the US is in serious jeopardy, and I’d be way more concerned about Daleman or Wakaba completely flopping out versus Sotskova, and their teammates will likely place 3 and 4 so they’ll need to do better than Maria to get the 3.

Sure they did. They'll just increase her national scores again as if that'll magically help internationally. Sigh.

One can dismiss the federation for making a wrong decision, but it's ridiculous that she herself is copping so much crap from people.

I'm going to cut Stanislava some slack. She hasn't done the senior version of this program since December and has been training solely the junior program since then. She was just at JW two weeks ago and only learned she'd be at Worlds a week ago. She didn't have time to prepare mentally for this competition. I blame the morons that thought she should still be first alternate even though she'd be doing JW already.
