Not the same competition. Can't compare. Compare to the other russian girls, her PCS can deserve ten points more than at junior worlds. She grown too. I mean, when you see what they gave to their champion...

She qualified here through senior nationals. Senior.

After scoring 160 at junior worlds the season before.

I sincerely hope that this is the end of the massive pushing for her but as I said, I'm not exactly holding my breath.

I think Elena would have been the safest choice. She isn't always entirely clean, but tends to score decently and not have complete meltdowns.

It wasn't really realistic anyway. Nevertheless, I hoped Viveca would have a good skate. Let's hope both Emmi and Viveca stay healthy and push each other next year. A bit of competition at home is good.

Exactly. This sometimes happens even to the best. Stanislava had pretty hard season and at that time she returned from Juniors she probably still didn't know Zhenya would have to withdraw.

I'd be ok with Laurine and Hamul. Mariah's skate was bad. Raf was right to be disgruntled. Raf has actually been on good behavior here. I've heard alot of "good job" in the K&C with him with other skaters.

On the positive side, Mariah's move upward is helping the US hopes of maintaining their three spots, right? And the ice curse quota must be filled by now. I mean, the skates can only get better from here on!

(Yes, I know the pain may continue but humour me, ok. I want to have hope.)
